| ![]() I have no experience in this field, but no cuddling and on a leash all the time. Sounds kind of fishy to me!

| ![]() I'd get rid of this trainer! I'd never had a dog before either but I knew enough to know that the 1st trainer I hired was a real wack-job! I fired her, lost a chunk of money but then found a trainer who came highly recommended & is wonderful & even cost a fraction of what I was paying Ms. Wack-job. She does it for the love of the furbabies. I go to her obedience class once a week still cause Saffie ( & I ) love it! (Plus we can always use the training) I think you're great for taking this precious furbaby & giving it a good home & a loving mommy. I would think cuddles & hugs with be MANDATORY, especially after all she's been through in the past. Keep looking for another trainer...there's one out there that will be just right for you & your baby. You know what's best for your baby & you're going to be a wonderful mommy! ![]() |

| ![]() For approx the last month, I've been teaching Kacee to ring the bell to go out. She's just 15 weeks old and when she wakes up from a nap, she goes to the door and rings the bell. She's doing really well, I think, considering I'm not experienced in teaching them how to do this. ![]() |

| ![]() Excuse me but your actually paying this person money? I know a dog needs discipline the same as a child but it also needs to feel loved. Coming into a new home had to be terrifying in itself much less having Brutus Beefcakes as her trainer. There is no way that I could have someone training my dog that I didn't agree with the methods they were using. My philosophy is you will attract more bees with honey than vinegar and that trainer wouldn't have lasted a full session in my company before I would have given him the boot! Find someone that actually cares about what this dog is going through on an emotional level.

| ![]() my coco learned how to ring the bell to go outside in 30 min. yorkies are very smart dogs, i don't think you need a trainer at all. i bet you that everything that is "good" advice from your trainer is something that someone with common sense can figure out on their own. my advice to you is give your baby time, i promise she will come around. right now she is probably terrified and reliving what she went through before she was rescued because of the tactics the trainer is using ![]() ![]()

| ![]() iv never had a dog before but training rosie has been fun as well as a pain at times. there is NOWAY id let that mad trainer near my baby, he would only have to do it once and i would remove him from my house in minutes, that contract you have tear it up what can he do sue you. if you think he would take pictures of your baby tied up and YOU use them in court if you have too, please please DONT let him carry on doing this to your baby, coz in the end your have a potty trained dog who doesnt trust ANYONE and thats so sad ,you obvously love her so kick his ass out and wait a few weeks to find another. GOOD LUCK wendy and rosie ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Sounds like a nut too me. I would never tie up my dog, and refuse to cuddle it. I'd get this straightened out real fast, or tie him to a chair when he comes, and tell him sit, stay, and then walk away. |

| ![]() My Bruce has numerous numerous behavioral problems...Well I found a great trainer in Seattle that seemed caring and compassionate and that is what I like about her no negative training...Well suddenly I am up and shipped to Alaska for work and cannot find a decent noncruel trainer here...The one that seemed okay suggested similar things, only of course after I paid, and so what did I do I told her where to go! This is inappropriate in my opinion, and I know at least in my case I would rather clean up a little wee-wee now and then than have a dog that feels unloved and becomes depressed and lathargic. |

| ![]() I would send the trainer on his way. That dog sounds scared and if its that scared it will be hard to train. I say show it all your love cuddle and kiss it , let it know it's loved and the potty training should come soon enough. |

| ![]() Thanks all. She seems to be adjusting more each day. I have a call in to the owner of the training company and have still not heard back. He will no longer be working with Sabrina.
