I was just thinking about that too. I dont think the airbags would hit them if they are in console seat. The only thing is make sure to get the console seat that has a safety strap, the one that connects to the harness so they dont romp around and try to get out of it. Also make sure it has other straps so you can secure the seat. If you have a regular car then get the regular console seat. If you have a SUV then get the one that says oversized SUV console seat. I considered the console one. But it interfers with shifting gears.
