| Yorie Ears At what age do you think a Yorkie's ears should be up, and when would you intervene to wrap them if they aren't up. I ask because I saw a picture of a very young yorkie with ears already up, but lots with ears still down or just coming up. I've heard even later on you can wrap them and it will still work. Is that true??

| Diesels were up since 8 weeks, at least. Our new girl (which I have yet to introduce ) Lilly, she had one up, and one half up. I taped it for one day, or one night I should say, and it stayed up. I think it depends on if they are completely floppy, or if they are starting to come up. If they arent up at 8 weeks, I would personally tape. I dont think it would hurt anything. Someone correct me if I am wrong though.

| Bella's ears were floppy and then one when up and one was still down (at about 12 weeks), so I shaved them and that helped a lot. I didn't tape (just because I wasn't sure how!), but trimming the ears did the trick!!!

| Is there a picture of how to wrap them? I'd like my little guys to have them all the way up before they go to their forever homes. Also would you try trimming the hair on the tips first and then try taping if it didn't work? I was visiting the owner of two of our puppies and noticed that one puppy had the tips of the ears still down at about 1 year old. I was surprised and would rather have them up before they leave so I don't have to worry about it later. Here are pix of our boys ears...they look like they are coming up, but want to be prepared if they don't.

| Awww what a cutie!! Izzie ears just came up a week ago, she had the floppy ears. I shaved them with a trimmer 2 wks b4 they came up and after that I notice her ears would stand more, for about a wk she had 1 ear up then one morning last wk I woke up and they both were standing. So I shaved them down again just to make her ears lighter. Her breeder was taping her n her littermates ear but when I got her they were down, but her other littermates ears were up. I know when they are teething they go down also. Izzie is 14wks, if they go down again I might tape them, but I haven't since I had her.

| My pup's ears were up at 10 weeks when we brought her home, but her brother's werent (they were taped). I believe the breeder said it seemed like every litter there was a late bloomer. I guess it varies. |
