Thank you!! Couldn't have said it better myself!! So nice to have some people in here who don't sit on their high horse, so self righteous... I have learned so much from YT, most of it helps me, and some like a few posts here, just make me sad that people judge others the way they do.... We don't always have to agree on everything, it's the way we handle ourselves when we do!! Judgement doesn't get me anywhere, kindness does!!

I think the ppl here know its bad to buy from a pet store and they are not saying they would just pick a pet store as their first choice. The problem here is ppl immediately pass judgement on others and thats not right

i see both sides here... I have no tolerance with people who are down right mean about pet store bought pups... A lot of us didn't know better... My second Yorkie is from a breeder because I learned from YT all about puppy mills.

It's ok to feel strongly about the puppy mills and what goes on there... But it is not ok to be mean and hurt others feeling s about it. It would be helpful to remember that we LOVE THESE BABIES... OUR BABIES! And no matter where they came from they are ours now, and not going anywhere...

I was upset by a post that was on here this morning and it got removed along with my own. I am sorry I was out of line, this person was being really mean about the pet store thing and I guess I got kinda mean back.

Any way, I would love to see pics of every ones pet store pups!!!! Here is my Chewy. How could you not love this face!

Lets see some pics!;)

It is a sore subject, I've been posting on this topic all day and I have been REALLY upset & downright mad about how judgmental and rude some fellow YT'rs have been.... Roxi is my baby, I love her more than words can say and it really upsets me when people get SO abrasive about the subject. I feel like I need to protect my girl.... And I WILL!!
Anyway, thank you for your post, and here's my Roxi!!!!!!!!!

I also didn't even notice that posts were removed from this thread... Was it that really mean comment? Sorry I cant remember the screen name.. But that was WAY outta line!

Awww Roxi is sooooo SWEEET. Love that face! I know she's your baby just like Chewy is mine. People forget that you already have these little ones and LOVE them.

Welcome to YT.. I hope you post pics of your baby soon..We LOVE Baby pictures!!!! some people may seem jumpy on the pet store issue but the more you stick around the more you will understand why.. But Lover your baby because you saved his wittle life and will love you forever for it!! Agian Welcome!!

Are you sure Tobey is a Silky? :eek: There's some really big teapot yorkies out there including my Naboo. Naboo looks about the same size as Tobey and have the same nose. I always wondered if she was a Silky but I met her parents and litter mates from the breeder and she's a yorkie. Although no DNA has ever proved this.

Your Chewy is adorable!!!:D IMO, even though we know better, it is our caring, loving instinct to want to take that pet-store puppy out of its confining space and give it a forever home. Wish I knew how to post pics, I'd put my 1 1/2 yr. old pet-store-bought Chipper on YT. So far he is very healthy, knock on wood. The OP hasn't been back on, has she?:( :(

I haven't seen the op on since the first post! :( I did PM her and told her not to bother about the mean post she got. But she may have seen it and decided not to come back. No one has the right to be out right mean and scare people away like that. It's so unfair of them to do that.

Everybody always assume he is a yorkie but I have to tell them he is a silky. His papers say he is a silky and I look at several pics and read books on silkies and he is definitely one. I guess maybe the yorkie trait just comes out...

And BTW the OP has not been back.... probably got scared off by the rude posts, and I don't blame her.. I probably wouldn't have come back if I got my head taken off like that either!! I'm really bummed, I hope she comes back cause the rudeness I saw on here yesterday rarely happens, everyone here is generally SO nice!! I was really shocked and upset by it... :( :mad: :thumbdown

I agree with you melanie - except the part of the rudeness rarely happening. It's been going on a lot here lately. Not sure why, but I'm with you, it makes me sad for those that are truly looking for some valuable advice.

As long as there are people that think like this Puppymills will continue to stay in business. Once is a mistake, twice is questionable and any more then that all I can say is shame on you for supporting the inhumane treatment of these poor mother and father dogs who live their entire lives in small cages with no vet care and limited food to eat. As far as who is to say whos right or wrong. Google puppymills and tell me that. I can't say more then this or I'll be in trouble with YT Administration.

As far as the OP not coming back. I think that's a shame because it's one less person we can educate about Puppymills and Pet Stores. Ten years ago before I was educated I bought my first Yorkie from a BYB. I know better now. First reaction for some is to jump and scold best reaction is to educate for that will hopefully prevent.
