| Yorkie with underbite? I just had a litter of 5 and one of them appears to have an underbite. They are 8 weeks old so I am wondering if it is too soon to tell? |

| It depends on how severe the underbite is. If it is a reverse scissor bite, where the bottom teeth are just in front of the top teeth touching...the bite may level out after the adult teeth come in..but it may not also. If the bottom jaw is clearly longer than the top teeth, it's doubtful that the bite will straighten out.

| it depends on how bad it is if it will correct itself. the bottom jaw grows faster than the top so those teeth will continue to come out farther unless the adult teeth straighten it up. Last edited by Sugar's Mom; 04-01-2008 at 05:11 PM. |

| I was wondering...other than being off-standard, what other effect an underbite has. Betty has this. Thanks.
