It depends on how severe the underbite is. If it is a reverse scissor bite, where the bottom teeth are just in front of the top teeth touching...the bite may level out after the adult teeth come in..but it may not also. If the bottom jaw is clearly longer than the top teeth, it's doubtful that the bite will straighten out.
