| I Finally Found My Baby! Hi All, So after years of looking and countless hours of research, I have found my baby, thanks to Deb (tiggerr36792) and Natalie (nlappegard). I will be driving from Socal to Norcal to pick up my baby from Deb this Saturday and I just can't wait. I am a new mommy and wanted to know if there's anything I need to remember when prepping the new home for my yorkie. I've asked around and read a lot but I want to make sure I get every right for him. Also, if there are any websites that I should know about to get supplies for my baby, I'd love to hear about them. Can anyone recommend a good vet near Pomona where I am located? I have a vet in the marketplace near my home. My sister used to volunteer there and she said it's a good place but I haven't contacted them and was wondering if there was anywhere else in the area that people have had experiences. Thanks so much everyone! I guess it's about time I got some sleep! |

| yea!! You sound so excited- and it is a exciting time!!! I am sure all the basic's you know- but 2 things I would say are: #1- check all you electrial CORDS around the house!!!! Cell phone charger cords, PC, lamps- to see if you can get them out of reach This makes it safer for puppy- and helps save you some $$$$$$ of replacing cords!!! #2- Name tags to go on the leash!!!with you phone #, esp!! I think even if they are chipped! That's the 2 that I didn't think of when bring Banjo home!!! Enjoy you new baby!! Can't wait to see a picture!!

| Big congrats. Bring Nutrical. I remember picking up Lilly. It was an hour ride and I didn't bring any Nutrical with me and she was shaking on the way home. I was so worried about her blood sugar. She was just nervous but it's always good to have Nutrical on hand just in case. Elaine |

| so excited! I will definitely post pics of him when I get him this weekend. I had a few questions about any products that YT members have used and found to be successful. 1. What kind of shampoo do you use? 2. I am planning to have my baby sleep in my room and was going to pick up a baby pen like this one: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=8342858 From what Natalie tells me, he's going to be no more than 4 lbs. Will that play area suffice? How big of an area does he need? I know that people say their yorkie bite through the mesh but for this pen, it seem like the mesh doesn't start til a little bit higher so I thought he might not be able to get to it. The other option is to get an X-Pen but the smallest seems to be 6 panels which is too big for my room. Can they be sized down to maybe 4 panels? 3. What chew toys are good for the puppy? 4. What kind of harness is adequate? If I wanted to purchase one before I picked him up, being 4 lbs, what size should I be looking for? Thanks for your help! |

| Thank You Awww...Thank you so much for your help Pepe Mint (that is a cute sn. lol) I am SO excited about picking up my baby this weekend. I am going to pick up some last minute things tomorrow and then head out early Saturday morning. Counting down the hours but they don't seem to go fast enough. And to answer your question, yes, this is my first yorkie but something tells me it's not going to be my last! Pam |

| 1. What kind of shampoo do you use? We use Cloud Star Buddy Wash, Rinse, and Splash: http://www.cloudstar.com/5DD044CB6F4...A7CA975DA092BD barkaholics.biz (Erin, I think?) also carries it. 2. I am planning to have my baby sleep in my room and was going to pick up a baby pen like this one: I think that playpen would be fine. We have this one: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=1762412 and you can use only 4 panels instead of 6. Makes a nice square. 3. What chew toys are good for the puppy? Franklin loves soft plush toys, anything that squeaks, ropes, and bully sticks. 4. What kind of harness is adequate? If I wanted to purchase one before I picked him up, being 4 lbs, what size should I be looking for? The first harness we got for Franklin was just one from Petsmart - it measures from 8"-12": http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...ductId=2751279 He's 7.5lbs now and growing out of it so we've ordered a silk harness from Cindy: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho....php?t=116672& Hope this helps!
