| Tiny Yorkies Hi, my first time to write in here. I have a tiny Yorkie, Ellie Aunna, who will be 4 years old on May 14th. She weighs a big 3 1/2 lbs. She is a feisty little thing and so smart. She understands many things that we say. She has a lot of personality packed in that tiny little body. She has bad back knees, but two Vets have told us that they would not recommend we have them surgically corrected as long as they do not seem to keep her from walking and are not causing any pain. So far, she does fine and does not ever seem to be in pain. She can even jump onto the sofa and onto a footstool. But we try to keep her from trying to jump a lot. When she walks her little behind and tail swish back and forth like she is being sassy!!! It is adorable. She loves to go Bye-bye. If she sees me put shoes on, or get a coat, or my purse, she is ready to go...even when she can't go!! She also knows what "going for a walk" means. She will go to the closet where her collar and leash are kept. When we say, "Do you want to go Bye-bye," she goes to the closet where her carrier is kept, too. Does anyone else out there have a full grown tiny Yorkie who is 4 lbs. or under? Would like to hear from you. I will post pictures of Ellie soon. Thanks! Ellie's Mom |

| Hello and welcome to YT. Your tiny Ellie sounds adorable. You should post some pictures of her. Kiki isn't tiny but at 16 months she is an average weight I guess at 6.3 pounds. I know there are plenty of furbabies on here who are smaller. Anna www.dogster.com/dogs/511397 |

| Little Ellie Good to hear from another Yorkie owner. From the pictures in Dogster, you keep your Kiki all dressed up, too. I make some of Ellie's clothes. I also buy Preemie Undershirts and Onsies for babies, alter them, and add ribbons. bows, lace and etc. to make them all frilly for Ellie. I have made some for friends for their small dogs, too. I can usually tell by the weight of a dog what size baby undershirt they will need. I am sure that the size small would fit Kiki. I also buy the ready made bows on a rubber band for small girls and put them in Ellies hair. She has a long pony tail on top, that I have to trim shorter now and then. When I first had her groomed the groomer cut her hair above her eyebrows and nose. I kept them trimmed that way, too, but at last am letting them grow out. So to keep the hair out of her eyes, it is long enough to put a small rubber band on it, so she has a short stubby pony tail above her nose and the longer one behind that, until the shorter one grows out enough to put in with her long pony tail. It will get there. I started grooming Ellie myself when she was around 1 1/2 yrs. old. She does really well for me and I do a fair job on her. I will get some pictures together to post soon. Ellie is a ham and loves to sit and pose for pictures. She is the lighter platinum color. Very pretty coloring. She has big eyes!!! Of course, I think she is beautiful and precious. All of our children are grown and even though we have young grandchildren, I really enjoy having Ellie to pamper and baby here at home. I have a lot of health problems, so I am at home a lot. She is a lot of company for me. When I am laying down trying to cope with the pain I have, she lays on me and gives me a sweet kiss now and then. She seems to know when I am not feeling well. Your Kiki is adorable. Thanks for sharing. Judith |

| Hi I have a "sassy little thang" myself. Her name is Lolita (Lola) and she is celebrating her 2nd birthday this Saturday. She weighs in at a whopping 3.0 pounds and is a ball of sass and cuteness! The breeder...who we got both of our babies from, anticipated that she would be about 4.5 pounds full grown, but it just didn't happen. She is a little piglet and LOVES to eat. She wrestlers her yorkie-brother (7.8) pounds and craves attention. She is so fun have around because she has so much energy and is a really healthy girl. Here are some pics of my little lady.

| Hi Judith, Welcome to YT! Your baby sounds adorable--cant wait to see pics of her too! I'm a fellow Hoosier too, near Evansville, IN. I went to school in Indy so it is like a second home to me. I got my first yorkie this December and have too fallen in love with the little guy. Winston is about 6 months old and weighs about 3.1 pounds now. He is with me all the time! His mom was 5 or 6 pounds and his dad was 4 pounds. I'm guessing he may up around 4 pounds too. He like to get around too--they are sooo fast!!

| By the way I love the idea of how you make t-shirts for your furbaby. What a great idea!

| I have two little yorkie girls who are both tiny. Their pictures are on dogster(you can click on my link). They sure don't know they're little. The only bad part is that my newest one, Talula...Lulu to us(almost 9 months old) can't climb down stairs(she is just too small she says So as I go up and down the house cleaning or putting away laundry she stops and then barks at me to come and get her. This goes on all day long! My other one, Lola thinks she's gonna kick some butt. She doesn't know who's and she doesn't know when but she's always ready. She hates any dog that appears on the t.v.(even for a brief second) and heaven forbid you bump her during her beauty sleep. They can surely wear me out.

| Hi and Welcome to YT!!!! My Teddi has always been 2lbs 10oz but I think she might be a whopping 3lbs now! She jumps up on the couch and she goes up stairs. She THINKS she can go down stairs but it doesn't work...she turns into a slinky and tumbles after about the 3rd stair. I get so scared when she tries to go on them!! She is 1 1/2 yrs old!

| My Feather is not full grown yet, she'll be one year April 15th and is 2.6 lbs right now so she may yet reach the 3 lb mark when she's done growing. She has "beother and sisters" who rang from 5 to 8 3/4 lbs and doesn't know she's little. She rules the roost around here |
