| Anyone have a 6 month old who's behavior is deterioratintg Hi guys, I am a little desperate here. Lola is 6.5 months old and the biting and barking is getting worse. Just for our attention, not malicious. Nothing else has changed in her life but she is acting like an adolescent now. Just need to hear from folks who had a rough patch around that age and how long it took to get better. |

| I was just about to start a thread about this very subject! Bentley is 6 months now & he's started to poop wherever he wants - he used to be so good with the pad. His bark is heard WHENEVER he doesn't agree with anything. I need help with this too!

| Lola is biting and barking much more and jumping up on the couch and peeing defiantly right after she has gone outside. They are teenagers for sure and folks say this is when most end up in shelters because people get so fed up. Exercise and a return to basic training seems to be our only resources. They say it lasts until a year or so, although I read some are like this until age 3. Not sure what I'd do if this lasts that long. |

| It's like the terrible 2's with kids. At 5 mos you're telling everyone how smart your sweet baby is and then between 6 & 8 mos you're wondering if they got a bonk on the noggin and forgot everything including their name!!! Don't worry, they'll snap out of it. Might take a couple of weeks (months) then they'll get back in line. I've had that experience with my maltese & my last 3 yorkies. The way I get through it is with a gallon of Natures Miracle, lots of paper towels and a bottle of Parrot Bay.

So for those of you who have been through this, when does it stop? Franklin will be 6 months next week and I'm already scared!

YT 2000 Club Member | Knock on wood...Jeter is going to be 6 months old this Sunday, March 30, and so far he has been doing great, no regressing yet! He has started to bark at my boy's at night if they come downstairs after I have put them to bed, but it's nice that he snitches on them! Also it's not out of control barking just a couple barks and maybe a growl if he feels like it to let me know someone is sneaking out of bed! I'm hoping he doesn't get a "bad-boyness" as he get's older.

| Yes! Logan started barking for attention when he turned 6 months. He's almost 8 months now. He does well in his crate most of the time, but when I let him out on his leash in the same room I'm in, he barks unless I'm paying attention to him. I just ignore him. Perhaps that will help eventually curb the barking for attention. He is very demanding, but I figure if I give in to his demands, I will only reinforce it! |

| I have a 9mo. that has a grip like a pit bull. She waits at the dryer for a dryer sheet to fall out and get it and run like heck. Its almost impossible to get it from her. Whenever she wants something she bites and when the alarm goes off you better get up or be chewed to death. HELP, we need help too. She is so spoiled, I think we have created a little monster. |
