Few general questions and update about the dog that "found" me(Long)

Thank you. I really thought I'd found his owner before I took him in, but the person who found him was going to give him to a family with little kids. I'm glad I got him even if I can't find his owner.

I know even if I never do find his owner and decide to give him to my sister, I am going to cry like there's no tomorrow.

I think it just depends on the dog if he will stop marking after nuetering. Sunnie is 4 1/2 yrs old and was nuetered about 6 months ago. He used to mark a LOT!. Now he has completely stopped. Beamer was nuetered before he learned to mark. Infact, he will be a year old in a little over a week and he never has lifted his leg. He is still a squatter. lol

Wow, that makes me really hopeful! I am going to have to wait to have him neutered, but at least I won't feel like I'm lying to my dh by telling him that it might help!

Today has been a pretty good day though so far....he's only marked once (that I can see )....which is a huge improvement over the last few days. I think he's such a good dog and he knows that it doesn't make me happy when he does that in the house. Or he's getting the message. It's hard tho, b/c you have to CATCH them doing it, LOL. And like Rustysmom says, they do it when you're not looking. I refuse to scold him for it if I didn't see him do it. Am I right in not doing so? I don't think they have a very long memory as far as eliminating goes.

Of course, I think he's exchanged the house for my patio lounges which have covers on them....but at least I can spray those off!!
