| NEW IDEA?? Need Honest Input. I hold a 2 year degree in Visual Communications and Graphic Design. I have been tossing the idea around in my head to start a NEW magazine or Newsletter? My idea is a Magazine devoted to nothing but "TINY DOGS" (maybe 10lbs and under). It would offer articles about tiny dog care and needs. Have a section call "It's all about me..."---This could showcase new products & new fufu Fashions for owners and pets. Have feature articles about health care, breeding, life styles, diet, treats, ect.......... An advice corner were people can "Yap Back" The list goes on and on.......... But I need to generate funds to get the printing done on this project? Any ideas? The printing it an arm and leg. I can do all the layouts to start including the covers models. I can run some ads "Writters Needed" to get my stories. Any ideas? Sound like a winner? I want to have a classified ads and show case color ads in the back of book. |

| The Pet Industry is booming right now so I'm sure another dog magazine would be great. However, instead of refering to "tiny dogs" I would prefer to see you call them Toy Breeds. You could include all breeds in the Toy Group.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | The magazine industry is a dog eat dog world (pun intended). Something like 90 percent of magazines fail the first year. Problem now it's even worse, paper, ink, all going up. I use to love magazine, but not anymore, with the Internet news seems so much fresher. After all, by the time a magazine is in print, it's old news. Even some of the old standbys are reducing there printing from every month to bimonthly then quarterly. Newspapers are having a hard time too. Have you checked the market to see if there is a magazine like that? Could you convert you ideas to a Web magazine?

I agree with Nancy's post. Maybe something on the internet would be better. We wish you good luck in whatever you decide to do. Patti and Jack | |

| Just for the "ideas" have you ever seen the CG magazine? (Celebrating Greyhounds). It might give you a lot of ideas and it is an award winning magazine.
