I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Have you taken her to a vet? This sounds serious.

| That does sound serious. Do you have an emergency vet that can see her today? I would get her in there immediately.

| Just a suggestion, you might try baby food like beef or lamb. I'm at a loss here. |

| Hamburger (cooked) and brown rice (cooked) Mix together and serve warm. I make a lot and then reheat in microwave. This works 98% of the time here. Sounds like she is depressed (don't laugh). I have had 2 puppies this last year that when they were weaned just quit eating. (they were eating solid food before the actual weaning!) The vet told me that with the small breeds it happens quite a bit. I had to force feed these puppies with a syringe. They would even start licking their lips when they saw me coming with the syring. So glad they were from different litters and that Pam could help out. Also try a bit of Kaopectate. Maybe tummy is just not feeling good. If you have to force feed it is easier to get one of the large feeding syringes as the hole is bigger. I have used Science diet AD, the hamburger/rice pureed, and cheap canned dog food (it is like doggie junk food, so sometimes they will eat it) I usually mix it with puppy formula to a thinner consistency. Feed the puppy every 2-3 hours at first. |

| yes and she does not eat wet kibble either. i just got back from my aunts house and she has a male yorkie about 2 weeks older.... he looks like a montser next to her lol. anyway he has these treats that they feed him and Abby tasted them. She loved them, we broke them into little pieces. I came home and put some with her regular food but she just looked awa. I dont know if its cuz she just had some at my aunts or she smelled her own food n didnt find pleasure anymore. i will try it tomorrow morning cuz she already went night night. I will try the chicken meat baby food also cuz alot of ppl are telling me that. It might not have been a great improvement but i feel good knowing that at least she ate doggie treats. It might be that we are not getting the right food she wants i guess i'll just keep trying........ |
