| Olivia has her first "hair appointment" this Saturday. I'm a little nervous about the blow dryers, as well. I thought about saying that Olivia is very sensitive to hot blow dryers and should only be dried on a low setting. I really lucked out finding the groomer I did. She lived down the road from me when I was growing up and used to groom my mom's long-haired cat. She used to work out of her house and bought a shop within the last year. I saw a small article about her business in the paper months ago and clipped it in anticipation of getting Olivia. I'm nervous, but I'm sure all will go well. The terrior in Olivia comes out when she is forced to do something she doesn't want to do, so I'm hoping that she's a good girl when she's there. My bf and I tried to cut her nails a few weeks back and we got all sorts of growls from her. She's so tiny that I am affraid to use too much force on her. I have experience in cutting dogs' nails that are resistant, but Olivia is so small that I'm scared to hurt her. Should be interesting! |

| Do you happen to have any pictures of a yorkie with this cut? I have never trimmed Stomper's hair. He has been groomed but never cut. I am thinking about trying your example above. Can you please send a picture?

| Awesome tips! When I take Codie and Katie to the groomer, I always stay and watch until they're finished. I never leave them alone - I'm soo suspicious.

| Thank you so much for the tips! I need some advice though. Cookie is VERY snippy and she tries to bite both my husband and I when we try to trim her nails, ears, etc. I try not to take her to the groomer too often because I'm afraid what might happen to her when I leave. She's very sweet but when it comes time for grooming, she turns into a vicious dog. What can I do to avoid this? Can anything make the situation better? |

I know! Never heard of them cage dried....gosh...the things you learn on this website (or don't want to know actually). There's no way I'd let them stick my pup in a contraption like that...what if they overheated? Francie

. He almost never takes more than a sip or two of water when he is thirsty...well you get the idea. So I went back into the groomers and said "how much water do you give the dogs while they are here? "Oh, we don't give them water". Can you imagine? Those nasty people obviously think it is better to dehydrate our babies rather than deal with a little urine!
