| So far, I haven't had any problems with KaCee. For the first month or so that I had her, I gave her a litle dab of Nutrical before bed and each morning. Luckily she has only had one episode of hypoglycemia and now that I think back on that day, I could have prevented it. When they are that little, they need to have constant access to food and water. Aside from that, the only other problem/concern I've had with her is just watching that she doesn't jump off the couch or bed. At first I was worried about my other dog, A.J, playing too rough with her, but I quickly learned that she can hold her own! Here's a thread with some recent pictures of Kacee: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=119837 Here's a video I posted, showing how fiesty she is: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=117717

| Thats not totally true...my breeder has been breeding & showing for 46 years! she has shown her yorkies at Crufts on many occasions...I happened to mention that i got my last yorkie at 8 weeks and she said.."any breeder that lets them go at 8 weeks should be shot!" She let me have Pixie at 14 weeks and weighing around 1.5lbs...she was selling her as pet home only because she would be too tiny to breed or show.

| when I got Odie he was exactly 8ozs. He was only 6 weeks old. We didn't know he was that old, I knew his b-day but didn't count weeks.. . He is now 10 weeks old and weighs a whopping 1 pound. He is doing very well

| I would find out how much the pup weighs now. Tatum weighed right at 1 lb. at 9 weeks and is 5.5 to 6 lbs. now at 4 years. I think it's a perfect weight. Maybe at 12 weeks, you'll have a better picture of how big she will get.

YT 2000 Club Member | When Jeter first came home to me he was 9 weeks old and was 1 pound 2 ounces. I took him to the vet the week we brought him home and he got a clean bill of health. Now at 5 months he is just hitting 2 pounds. He loves his food and is active as can be running all over the house playing with his toy's and my four boy's. His vet sees him every other week for a weight check just to keep an eye on it. He said that Jeter is healthy, just a tiny little guy and that he does not think Jeter is going to make it to 3 and 1/2 pounds full grown, he has a tiny frame and his bones are so small! Here are some photos of him from 9 weeks to 5 months. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...thJeter024.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...6/100_2334.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...ry32008016.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...ry32008149.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...Jeter053-1.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...Jeter041-1.jpg

| i got pebbles at 8 weeks 6 days and she was the smallest little thing i had ever seen... but SO spunky! she was 1 pound 4 ounces and chasing other big dogs around, barking up a storm. shes 13 weeks now and is 1 pound 8 ounces. we had to put bells on her to hear her around the house because she is so tiny. I think you can really tell from the parents how big they will get. her parents were 4lbs and her dad was 3lbs .. so she probably will be around their size (everyone is estimating 3lbs or so). the vet said she is very healthy and i had them do bloodwork on her when i got her and everything is perfect. theres a bunch of pics of her in the pictures section.. but ill post two so you can see. its hard to find ones where you can kinda tell her actual size 1. the night we got her 2. a few days ago.. (lol she kinda looks the same size doesnt she?)

Donating YT 30K Club Member | No I think it depends on their parents/grandparents size. Cali was the runt and just caught up. Many dogs who are 1 lb at 9 weeks stay small some don't. Cali has been a very unhealthy dog and not a tiny so you can never say who is going to be healthy just by size. Does this breeder have a good gurantee?

| Lexi was 10.5 weeks old when we got her 3 years ago and she weighed 1.2 lbs. That is her pictured that is posted right after we got her. She now weighs 3.5 pounds. Our 4 year old is Cricket and she is 2.5 pounds. Cricket has problems with allergies, but other than that they are both very healthy. |
