Thats not totally true...my breeder has been breeding & showing for 46 years! she has shown her yorkies at Crufts on many occasions...I happened to mention that i got my last yorkie at 8 weeks and she said.."any breeder that lets them go at 8 weeks should be shot!"
She let me have Pixie at 14 weeks and weighing around 1.5lbs...she was selling her as pet home only because she would be too tiny to breed or show.
