you probably dont want to post the name of the kennel for fear someone will buy your baby, but with so much knowledge and so many opinions on yt, not to mention the vast areas yters come from, you probably could get some input good or bad

I would personally recommend buying a puppy locally, only after a thorough check up.

The reason for recommending local buy is that you can check not only the puppy's health but also the puppy's personality.
Dogs have personality too. Some are hyperactive and some are very calm. Some are whiners and some are independent. You want a dog that matches your personality and life style. After all, your dog will be living with you for at least 10 years.

Check out the local news paper ads or major state news papar ads. (online or offline). Yorkies are one of top 5 most popular breeds in the World. You will find yorkie pups everywhere! It's just matter of time.

it took me months to choose mine after visiting 5 different breeders but the experience is worth it! =) You will learn a lot more!

Buy yorkie products online as there are more selections for your style but don't buy yorkie online! Unless you can visit the breeder yourself! =)

Can you post a pic of the baby you are looking at? I am curious.
I have bought online 3 times (and for anyone who wishes to jump all over me for it, don't bother).
In every instance, I have gotten the puppy that I paid for, meaning it wasn't switched.
My first purchase, Bella, came from Missouri (yikes, total puppy mill area, didnt know). She was very healthy for 3 1/2 years then ended up having addisons disease. Bad breading?? I have no idea.
My next yorkie came from Texas. Breeder was a trashbag. If I had seen him in person, I wouldnt have bought him (he had a ton of problems, illnesses, etc), esp. for the price I paid, however, it wasnt a mistake as he is my best friend and I cant imagine my life without him.
I consider him my rescue dog.
My most recent addition came from OK. This time I did research on the breeder and pm'd some members on here for their opinions. This little one is gorgeous.
I totally recommend listing the kennel name and getting others opinions/experiences before buying. I would also say if possible, you should fly down to pick up your puppy and make sure you are getting what you want.

If you have your heart set on this breeder, I would ask her to take a picture of the pup with your name and date on a piece of paper by the pup. And I would also ask her to take pictures or even video camera of where her dogs are kept. If possible try to get references from past buyers who have been to her house as well so you can get an idea of their living conditions.
Make sure you see the registration paperwork beforehand, you can even look it up online to make sure it is legit.
I would also do a quick search to make sure she is not on a USDA list.
Ask plenty of questions and trust your instinct.

Make sure you also google the persons name, phone number, address, kennel name, etc.

My sister was looking at Mi-Ki puppies so I took the lady's phone number, e-mail addy and googled it. Turned out she had about 5 other breeds she sells also(it looks like out of her garage). It brought up a lot of past ads she had.
