My mom's older brother had one for about 15yrs ...maybe...anyway one day it just freaked and tried to attack his granddaughter while she was pregnant. He shot it.... he said it just lost it and he couldn't get near it!! (they live way out in the country). Although, I have to say I never trusted her... she was a bit scarey (but you know how owners always say...ahhhh.... she is just a big baby!)

there life span is about 8years so she was probably senile already it could happen to any old dog beleive me this is a great breed

You should definitly do some research about this breed. I was going to get one before but the breeder made me backed up. He told me that most of the (house) insurance company doesn't accept this breed. That I should check the insurance company first. I don't know how true it is but got me scared.
