| bathing your yorkie Does anyone have a problem with their little darlings not wanting a bath? well my little Maggie doesn't like them. I bathe her once a week, and she just trembles, and hates her nails clipped, I am afraid she will bite me . And I try to brush her teeth, she hates it. this has been going on about 7 months, you would think she has gotten use to it. Maybe I a little to rough , I don't think so, I talk sweet to her and everything. If she ever does bite me, I will be totally afraid to bath her again. I have never to her to a groomer, I am afraid they won't be good to her.

| It's hit or miss with Keely and Maverick with the bath. Sometimes they are fine with it and splash around and other times they just spaz. With the nail clippings, that can take some time with Keely. Maverick is okay as long as Keely isn't around. If she is she whines and yelps because she thinks we are hurting him and that's when he gets fidgety.

| I have problems with my baby girl Nyla, she hates to get a bath. I also give my babies a bath once a week. She screams to the top of her lungs like she is in pain. I try and keep her close to my chest whenI give her a bath. This helps a little until I was her head and clean her eyes. My mother has a Cocker Spaniel that sounds like Maggie. My mother can never give her a decent bath. But when I give her a bath she sits so good for me, lets me brush her and all. My mother loves for me to come and visit when I get the chance so I can give Starr a bath. Mabe you should try and take her to a groomer but if you feel they will treat her bad. Stay at the groomer with her set a appointment for her and let the groomer know the problem. They should not have a problem with it. At least my groomer doesnt she is excellent love her to death. She might and might not do ok. It wont hurt to try. |

| Maybe before you start...envision how you want the bath to go...she sits still and you are completely in control... I know it sounds easier than it is. I have 3 that I bathe and it is getting much easier than it used to be. I still have a problem with 1 cutting toenails too. Or if it would make you feel better, find a groomer that will allow you to stay and give your a "spa day". A friend of mine was able to find a mobile grooming service that comes to her home but it is self-contained. It gives her a great sense of relief that her babies are in good hands, just outside in the drive. Good Luck to you!! ~Lorene
