Maybe before you start...envision how you want the bath to go...she sits still and you are completely in control... I know it sounds easier than it is.
I have 3 that I bathe and it is getting much easier than it used to be. I still have a problem with 1 cutting toenails too.
Or if it would make you feel better, find a groomer that will allow you to stay and give your a "spa day". A friend of mine was able to find a mobile grooming service that comes to her home but it is self-contained. It gives her a great sense of relief that her babies are in good hands, just outside in the drive.
