| New Law in California We were watching Leno lastnight, he said they just passed a law where all dogs had to be spayed/neutered there...Wondering how that is going to work with the breeders...He said something about the show dogs wouldn't have to be spayed/neutered, but I'm wondering how they decide which breeders, if they're NOT showing, can keep breeding?? |

| There was an article in the paper last week that explained it all but since i don't live in CA, i didn't pay a lot of attention to it. But it is already a done deal. I think I read that breeders have to register and get a liscense. |

| I posted this in the CA regional section As of right now it is only in LA...and well, you can pretty much buy your way out of it. There are a lot of loop holes...and they have to be done by 4 months iirc. Quote:

| " As for the potential body image crises brought on by the Westminster dog show, it turns out there's a cure for everything. For about $60, a neutered male pet can be fitted with a pair of "Neuticals," a canine testicular implant that, according to the company website, lets male dogs (and cats, horses and bulls) retain their "natural look and self-esteem." Should L.A. Animal Services get wise and offer vouchers for these too? Maybe so. Behind nearly every pet with low self-esteem stands an owner with even less. " Are you Serious!! |
