Where do they pee when you go to the mall? I guess that seems kind of silly to me too. I go in clothing stores in our outdoor mall with them, but you go back outside after every store. I'm not sure why you would take them to an indoor mall?? It's so loud and crowded...

My 'boycott' means I don't go there anymore, not necessarily telling bad things about the mall to anyone. This mall is also far away from where I live, so now I prefer to go to abother mall in which we can take our babies with us.

Before going to the indoor mall, we usually walk him outside, so after the walk, we put him in the carrier and then we go in the mall. He loves resting in the carrier while we do the shopping. He is so used to us bringing him to the mall with him. We never let him out of the carrier when we are inside the mall, though. I agreed it would be too crowded for him and I am afraid people will step on him, too. He usually finished his business before entering the mall, so we don't have to worry about his pee pee thing. Then after shopping, we will bring him to the park which is close to the mall to play for a while before we head home.

Do you take your pups in public? Also, how do you handle issues like knowing when they need to potty?

Do you carry them in your arms, or in a bag? I have a cool bag just for Cricket, but he hates it and will whine and scratch at the mesh parts and it draws a lot of attention to the fact that I have a dog with me.

So where do you take your dogs, how do you know it's okay to take them, and what do you do about how to carry and when to potty?

This is always a tough question. I don't want to find a dog in any grocery store or restaurant. I know most of these little ones are not a problem, but you have to consider people who are allergic to dogs. Also people, especially children, who are afraid of dogs. If any establishment is going to allow dogs, it should be made very public. And please consider that if you can bring your Yorkie, the next person can bring their Rottweiler.
