My dog is 6 months and the bitting has really decreased! One thing that I do that he really likes and it has helped was to buy an oven mitt, for baking. Mine looks like an alligator and slips over my hand up to my elbow. When he is in a bitting, playing mood, I don't let him bite my fingers and then put on the glove and play with him and let him bite it. He LOVES it! He's able to play tug of war, chew a bit, growl and have a good time and I don't feel it! He knows when I take it off that he is not supposed to bite on my skin. I yelp and say no bitting. It seems like it would send mixed signals, but he is smart and knows no bitting the hands, but the mitt is ok and it's fun!! Also, the whole family can use the glove to play with him. It's his favorite toy hands down!!

No Bite! and stop playing with him. He will notice that when he bite he is ignored and will learn one causes the other which is I bite and they dont play.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Yesterday I started the coins in a can and it works at times. So I just have 2 get him used to it & until he learns. But if that doesnt work I will be trying something else!

Remember he's teething and it hurts. Always give him something to chew on after you have told him "no". It's great when they lose those baby teeth, those things hurt.

Isabella "Izzie" is a biter, bites everything. She doesnt even realize sometimes when she is playing just reaches and bam there goes your finger or hand with the toy.. I yell no biting or give the toy and say good toy... but I might get that bitter spray to.. her teeth her needles...

Exactly what I did along with "no bite." Takes time and persistence.

I know it hurts when these tiny teeth dig in but it is all part of their play and puppy life.....beside the good avise others have posted you ca also take a finger and flick him/her on the nose (this while they are very young) they will stop real quick (usually). Don't want to destroy his play spirit
