| ![]() How tall is it? You could maybe exchange it for a taller one.

| ![]() my Trixie is a climber and a half,, at 10 weeks she easily scaled the pen that Cricket and Daisy (who could easily jump it) stay in,, even if we are gone for hours!,, but not Trixie,, i put them all in the pen while i went to town,, left my husband a note that the pooches were in the pen,, to check on them when he got in,,Trixie met him at the door, he thought i was nutz! lol,, I've since just given her run of the house,, but,, i did buy a large enclosed wire crate for when needed,, as she can climb anything,, i swear she's part CAT! good luck! ![]()

| ![]() You could go to any home improvement store and get some crossed trellis material (it usually comes in plastic sheets or wooden expandable/collapsible sizes) and attach with some plastic zip ties at one end(as a hinge point) and simply rope/twine as needed to keep it down (if the weight isn't enough for your escape artist) |

| ![]() Here's what we do for an x-pen top when we're going to be gone longer than normal. We take a light tarp (could use a sheet, netting, whatever) and attach it to the top edges of the xpen with binder clips. For us they, work much better than zip ties. They are quicker and easier to put on and take off.

| ![]() I put Romeo in a childs pack and go crib. I tied a gate to one end so it slides without comming off, at the other end I have a clamp. Looks like a big clothes pin. It works great, the gate is a perfect fit and I just have to slide it open to put him in or out. |

| ![]() Our Mariah is such a climber...we joke that she's a little mountain goat. We had the same problem. My husband is very handy and built our x-pen with vertical slots that couldn't be climbed. He did such a GREAT job building this awesome pen for her. This worked well for weeks and then one day she got out. We're guessing she used the arm of her couch and JUMPED. I was freaking out because I don't want her to get hurt when she jumps and also we are gone all day at work/school and she would be without food/water for a very long time if she got out of her pen. The x-pen is built against a wall so we moved her couch to the back wall and left food/water outside the pen just in case but so far she hasn't gotten out again! I LOVE the idea of the sheets over the top. We will definitely try that if she gets out again! |

I'm sorry, I had to laugh when I read your post. Our Bindi, got out of EVERYTHING!!! Originally we were going to leave our Yorkies out to roam the house. Well, that didn't work because one day, I got a call from my son yelling that Bindi found an old bungee cord and tried to chew on it and it got stuck in his mouth. So since that day, we don't let them roam around (we thought we had our house kid proof, just not Yorkie-proof). We had a play pen (had a cover on it), had an X-Pen (had the X-Pen tarp over it), then finally got the nice xlarge wire crate. They LOVE it - it's their "little house"! (and Bindi can't get out). They're not in there for very long, plus having that size of a crate, they have their food, water, and doggie litter box and huge bed. Good luck! ![]()
