| Dominating position? why is my yorkie always trying to jump on another dog when they play. hes played with over 10 dogs, and it seems like he trys to... not really hump, but to just be on top of them. im guessing its to show that hes more dominate? am i suppose to do something about it? |

| My Ladybug always does that to my poodle Tilly. If I call Tilly over for anything, Ladybug comes over to and puts her feet on her back. It is dominating behaviour. I always make her get down. You have to be consistant and firm. Of course, Ladybug still does it anyway.

| I don't know whether you can stop a dog from becoming the dominate one? That being said, I have a senior girl, Rosie, who is about 12 yrs. old. In comes my little Chipper who is 1 1/2 yrs. old. He wants to dominate over Rosie by standing over her. I won't allow it out of respect for Rosie.

| i went to my vet with this problem because I thought my moms dog was trying to... have intercourse with my puppy who was then 8 weeks old and it really disturbed me! my vet laughed a little and said it was okay, he wasnt trying to mate with her, it was just his way of trying to show he is the dominant one... well jokes on him, my puppy wouldnt have it and snapped and barked at him everytime he did it, for days, until he stopped! |
