I don't know whether you can stop a dog from becoming the dominate one? That being said, I have a senior girl, Rosie, who is about 12 yrs. old. In comes my little Chipper who is 1 1/2 yrs. old. He wants to dominate over Rosie by standing over her. I won't allow it out of respect for Rosie.
