| We recently got rid of our area rugs. Not only were my girls peeing on them, but they would shred the little tassels on the edges. |

| Scrappy pees on, and eats and scratches and yank/drags at any rug he possibly can... including carpet - but he's still a baby. I hope that maybe when he's older he'll get over it. |

in fact I've found that dogs of any kind and rugs are not a good match! I've finally given up on having them in my house. I do have the ones you can wash in my kitchen, but I'm about tired of washing those so they may go too!

| My 13 wk old yorkie still working on the potty pads and see that she is fine till I turn my back then she will go on the rug. I get tired of the clean up. My other one doesn't do that. I'm hoping when she can go outside and it gets warmer she will leave the rugs alone.

| Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Area rugs are like cushy pee pads to some of them...like Miss Zoey. Hopefully we get her housetraining done soon. I watch her behind like a hawk near the few that we do have. She loves the scatter rugs in the bathroom.

| I had to throw away a GORGEOUS rug bc my boys just demolished it. I think it was wool though. Maybe a synthetic one will be better... not sure! I do have a rug by the door that I do have to wash about once a week bc they pee on it! My boys are just peers though! They pee EVERYWHERE!!!

| Therapy Dog Donating Member | OK for all those babies that pee on the throw rugs and then you got rid of them...did the peeing stop in the house or did they just find another place to pee?
