| Area Rug's & Yorkies? Do they mix? I ask because I am thinking of buying a rug set but I am worried my chunky munky will pee on it... he is a boy and does mark if that help... he does well not to potty inside unless for some reason we miss his signals but for the most part he will go outside when he needs to go... I am just wondering if purchasing this is a bad idea? Anyone have are rugs on their tile floors? |

| Ooh, that is a touchy subject for me right now. Mine (all girls) have been potty trained for ages--recently my house started to smell like pee from time to time and I couldn't figure out why. Well, it's because someone keeps sneaking andpeeing on the rug! I have a suspicions that it's the same one who has always felt compelled to pee on the bathroom rug, but I haven't actually caught her in the act...yet... |

lol.. I think its the smell of the rubber backing maybe... Gizmo used to be like that with bathroom rugs so I don't have those any longer.... maybe it was wishful thinking .. but I guess its a bad idea huh... | |

| I make sure I get the ones that are machine washable, like for the bathroom or kitchen. For the bigger one I take it to the laundromat for the Jumbo washer.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | OMG I thought Izzy was the only one. She goes outside but she has been going on this one throw rug in my living room and thank goodness it's washable. I need a rug there now that it's winter and people coming in and out need to wipe their feet. That's the only place she piddles now and then and I can tell because I flip it over every few days and I see tiny yellow spots. I didn't train Izzy to go on a pee-pad her breeder did and I wish they hadn't. I think Izzy thinks it's a giant pee-pad. Come summer I'm going to take it away and see what happens.

| Mine pee on my rug if i don't see them at the door wanting to go out! Plus star is still potty training and we have wood floors.. She REFUSES to pee on the wood but will pee on any rug she can find.

| I have area rugs in 4 rooms of my house and I have 2 yorkies - the rugs fair pretty well. They have had an accident but I was able to clean it so it wasn't a real problem - for the most part they don't pay any attention to them. |

| Tucker loves to poop on my area rug. I'll put down a couple of puppy pads and he stops. I'll take up the puppy pads and he goes back to pooping. I've wondered if there is any kind of spray that will make him want to stay off the rug. Anyone heard of such a thing? |
