| My yorkie loves my fiance but hates me! I have a 1 yr. old female yorkie who always chooses my fiance ove me. I take care of her the most, feeding, bathing, walking, peeing/pooping, she sits in my office. He helps with the potty training and taking her to our office or home. When given a choice, she always pick him to sit/sleep next to. When she gets hurt or injures herself, she runs away from me even if I have nothing to do with her injury and runs to him for protection. Last week he dropped a ice cream bucket on her head. She ran away scared and didn't come to either one of us for protection. She seemed like she blamed me for it even though I was nowhere near her. Last night Adam was playing ball with her while I sat on the couch and watched. As she was carrying the ball back to him, she kept looking at me and suddenly decided she was scared of me. What am I doing wrong to make her scared of me? How do I fix this?

| I have the same problem. My baby will go to my husband and give kisses and just play, play, play, but when I try it, Jobey decides to bite and growl at me. He's only 8 weeks old and he's still a tiny baby, but it kinda hurts my feelings. I'm with him all day long. I think it was Chachi's mom who told me to flip him on his back to let him know that I'm the boss. Maybe it'll work for you. Good luck!!!

| I dunno who Sadie prefers...I thought it was my bf, because when he'd leave the house she'd literally cry and run back and forth from the door to the window.... when I finally mentioned it to him, he said she does the same thing when I leave, so now I dunno. I think it's more like, mommy is the nurturer and daddy is her personal play toy. LOL

| I'm bumping this up for you - seems like I have heard others talk about how to address this, but I don't remember the advice

| Female Yorkie prefer Males? I have only had male dogs, except for one female Yorkie. All male Yorkies were always my babies only! Did not seem to care for anyone else do to our close bond. I honestly think there is something to females prefer most males. My one female was only Yorkie that did not seem to bond with me as much, she did prefer boyfriend. If I was her only choice, she would cuddle with me,etc. I am sure other ladies with female Yorkie will disagree. Just agreeing with you, it can happen through no fault of your own! |
