| She keeps peeing on her bed!!!! We have had Izzy 9 days and tonight is the 3rd time Ive had to wash her bed . She can hold her pee all night (unless this is when she is peeing on her bed). She is 18 weeks old. And most of the time she will pee and poop as soon as we take her out of the bathroom anywhere she decides. I think shes only pooped on the pad one time and that because I caught her in the act and put her on the pad . Is there anything I can do to discourage her from going in certain palces? I know they take a long time to train but, I though her being older it woudl be easier. So frustrated!! Any ideas???

| How old is Izzy? When Coby was a puppy for the first few weeks we had him, we had a lot of laundry even though we were very dilligent about potty training and he did really well with it. We washed blankets because he pooped in his kennel and we washed his little bed because he'd pee in that. I'd say that, assuming it's not due to any other issues, they're no different than accidents and, as long as training is going well, they will pass.

| I feel your frustration.....mine will often pee on their bed. Drives me crazy because I want them to have a cozy place to sleep. I'm hoping that this will pass. I'm looking forward to hearing what others have to say.

| you need to make sure she only has enough room to lay down and turn around in her crate... this will force her to hold it until the moring because dogs dont' like to pee where they sleep. but if she can pee in one corner and sleep in another she will never hold it... |

| oh so she is in a pen?? well that might be the problem... you aren't there at night to praise her for peeing on her pad or tell her no for peeing on her bed.. she'l just pee whereer and then go sleep wherever... i think until she is 100 percent trained you should think abotu a small crate. |

| Shes not in a crate. She has about a 2X3 room with bed, food and pee pad, she does use the pad in there sometimes. But she also has full run of the bathroom. I tried to put her in the little 2X3 room with the gate up tonight but all she did was bark and Im not listening to that all night long. But when she gets excited to see someone in the morning , she will pee whereever she is standing in the bathroom. She pees by the entrance at the gate most other times.

| Your puppy is only 18 weeks old. Puppies can only hold their potty for about an hour of each month of age. So, she's 18 weeks...that's about 4 1/2 months...she can hold it for about 4 1/2 hours. You should still be letting her out during the night even if it's only to another potty pad in a different location...then put her back in her little room to go to sleep. That way she will learn not to lay where she has pottied. |

| Does anyone spray the bedding with Nature's Miracle or something like it? I have always sprayed pee/poop spots with an enzyme cleaner. Wouldn't that smell stay in there and cause some of the re-occurring problems? As for shredding the piddle pad, get washable cloth ones. They work wonderful. Just a thought. Joanne |
