| "going" under the table My Buttons has done so well with using her pee pee pads, BUT, here lately she wants to go under the kitchen table. Has anyone experienced his? Why do you think she is doing that? Help me.

| That's nothing. Alphy like to go ON the table. ewwwww Although he hasn't for a long time. In fact since Abby's passing he's been exceptional and only going outside.

| Well I guess I could make her a bathroom of her own and put her pad in it, lol. I could make something out of a box where she would have privacy. But the yelling at, she gets more of that, it just baffles me why all of a sudden she is doing that.

| Has something changed in the house? I think the best thing you can do is just let her know that that is a no and take her to her pad to try and correct the behavior. Hopefully someone else will have some better information for you. Good luck.

| When my cat was a kitten he wouldn't go in his litter box. So...i just put a foil litter pan where ever he went! I had like two or three of them around the kitchen. He finally got it that I wanted him to go in the PAN! I would stick a pee pad under the table! LOL maybe this is a bad idea!!!! Never mind don't listen to me...I'm in a silly mood.

| No, nothing has changed. Maybe its just a phase. I mean she still uses her pad, but just goes under the table time to time.

| How often are you changing the pee pads. Some dogs if their pee pad gets soiled they don't want to use it any more. |

| I change them often. Just like last night, I got up with her around 3:30 to go potty and took her where the pad was, it was a new one, and she decided to go under the table. Its not all the time, but is happening more than it should.

| Make sure you clean the spot under the table really well too, there is probably a scent there now for her.

| Scrappy is really good at going on his pad - often even if he's peed on it 3 or 4 times. However... recently he has started going under the kitchen table - right next to the patio doors. He's only pottied outside a couple times - and those were really rare occasions that I took him out for a minute to see how he liked it (it's been very very cold and yucky here). Sometimes I have to stand next to him by the potty pad and wait and tell him over and over to go potty - and he always gets a treat when he goes on the pad. But the last two days, even when I'm standing right next to the treats - RIGHT by his pad, and he sneaks off with his toy like he's just playing, so I figure he doesn't have to go. Then I walk into the kitchen and he's pooping! I was wondering if he was trying to tell me he wanted to start going outside to potty. thank you OP for starting this! I'm dying to hear an answer/solution!!! Diana |
