This is ONLY a portion of what it really looked like - we had toys in the Bathroom - the hall - the office ....and they did this mess in 4 days I think ? Not to scare anyone...but a puppy did NOT do this - mostly it was Chanel, my 3 year old - Cheri usually keeps one toy and plays with it - Tornado Chanel has to have ALL the toys - | |

| You haven't mentioned anything about him getting into your trash!! Not to give him ideas or anything, but mine are the biggest trash monsters and I have had to get cans with lids in every room or they go crazy with seeing how many they can empty before GET OFF THE COMPUTER nd catch them!! |

Please don't swat living beings - it really isn't needed! You can say no and offer him a chew toy instead - eventually he will learn. But please be patient - he is not born to understand your language and you not his and it will take a long time before you learn to understand each other. Maybe it will never happen if you swat him.

| You might also revert him to being confined when he can't be supervised. That way when he is out you can correct him (verbally should work) as he is doing it. That is the best time any way. Good luck. Terriers are just like 2 year olds. (which is a good thing) |

| I agree with Firefish. Confine him unless you can watch every move he makes. Section off a part of a room, get an x pen, play pen, or 2x3 foot crate and place them where he can see you as you go about your day. They are little terrors. We have found Bo on our kitchen table numerous times. Now we have to remember to keep the chairs pushed up to the table. I never woulda thought a dog would do that! That's why God made them so cute. Otherwise they'd never get away with all that they do!!

| Rags watches me pick up all the toys that are everywhere in every room of the house and then he empties the basket and looks at me as if to say "this is the way I want my toys, please don't touch" My house looks like Romper Room all the time, worse than when the kids were little. Rags favorite thing is to take all the stuffing out of a toy and scatter it all over the room. You gotta love them though. |

| Swatting a dog signals the end of your relationship from his perspective. He will only learn to stay out of range of your arm. He does not understand the difference between toys and the stuff he has access to. He needs to be confined to an ex-pen, if you are not monitoring his behavior, and trained. If you don't have a pen keep him on a leash tied to your belt when he's not in the crate. It really wouldn't be cute or funny if he ingested some of the stuff he got into and got really sick. Research training methods or try puppy classes. |

Isn't that the truth! I pick up the toys and when the last one is in the pile, shes off to start over again everyone has to be somewhere on the floor. At least when my boys were little they would keep them put away for at least 5 minutes! Its a good thing they are so cute and huggable cause boy oh boy!

| Jackson was an angel when I first got him, and he is still a great puppy. He doesnt really chew things. Although he is starting to rebel. He is barking more, and waking up at 2 am each morning. I am not sure what is going on. He also whines alot now.. |
