First haircut 6-month old Lexi went to the groomer (at the vet's) to get her first haircut. Daddy dropped her off at 9am. They still hadn't called by 1pm to say she was ready so we called them. The groomer was at lunch and the receptionist didn't know whether Lexi was done or not. By 2pm we were getting concerned about her not having eaten all day and went to get her. The groomer was already gone for the day! My puppy doesn't even look like they cut her hair, except her head. I told them I wanted a "puppy cut" and the groomer seemed to know EXACTLY what I was talking about (they groom 16 yorkies on a regular basis). Her butt didn't get trimmed and it looks like they took a whole 1/8" off her body. I'm so mad. When she got picked up, she threw up in her cage. As soon as she got home, she had diarrhea for 10 mins. I tried giving her Nutrical - she wouldn't touch it. She hasn't taken a drink of water nor eaten her food. She seems like she's mad at us and just wants to sleep. I would have thought that since we made an appointment with the groomer, that she would cut her hair at the specified time and call as soon as she was done (like when we go to the hair salon for our haircut). Am I asking too much? Do you think 5 hours is too long? Lexi is not used to being in a cage...the spoiled brat has the run of the house. Also, do any of your furbabies get mad at you when you take them for haircuts? I will post "before" and "after" pictures when I get my film developed.

I had the same problem with Mojo. I took him to petsmart to get a puppy cut, the cut was "ok" but it took sooo long and Mojo was mad at me I took him at 2:00pm and even tho i waited to him there (made sure the groomer knew i was not leaving my baby) he was only ready at almost 9:00pm. I was outraged...never ever am i going back there. I know most places take at least 4 hours to get it done, so from now on, if i am getting Mojo profesionally groomed i will call the people the come to your house and do it right on the spot in front of you. It's a little more expensive but i know it will be worth it!

OK, I havent posted in a while, its been very crazy with the holidays and all....so on to the post. Ok, I took Dolce for a haircut before Christmas and she also went to the groomer at the vet's. I took her at 9AM and the groomer came out and asked me exactly how I wanted her hair cut. I told her just to trim her up and not to touch the hair around her eyesor her nose. She told me that I could call her at 12PM because she likes to get the puppies home in the morning so they are not there all day, which I thought was a good idea. I called at 12 and she said she was ready and I could come and pick her up. She looked great and she didi everything that I asked. I had no complaints. I will definitely take her back there again. So to me 5 hours is waaaaayyyy too long to have a little baby there. She might be mad that you brought her there but I think Dolce was a little mad at me too. They had put a red and green ribbon on her neck and she was so mad she was trying to bite it off the whole time in the car and when we got home. I ran to get the camera and took a few pics before I had to cut it off. They forgive us though, so dont worry, I'm sure she will be fine, it was just a different experience for her. However, I would say something as to how the groomer handled getting your baby back to you. That doesnt seem professional at all. Let us know how you baby is doing!!!
