| I don't think dogs have to be AKC to go to good homes. You might get better dogs but I wouldn't worry about the homes any more that the homes of AKC dogs. Bad homes happen to good (AKC) dogs too. |

| well i am looking @ a breeder close to me if one of you guys would like to see her website please let meknow what your opinions are. wwwridleysyorkies.com i've spoken to the breeder several times she says she is a show breeder and mom is called babt girl/dad is lucky-baby comes with akc/health certificate and dna testing stating that the baby is the son of baby girl and lucky what do you guys think let me know this is so important to me thanx cathy

| I went to her website, but I see no evidence that she shows her Yorkies. In fact, most of her females have no champions in their pedigrees. http://www.ridleysyorkies.com/index.html Lucky has a few champions a couple of generations back, but Baby Girl has a very unimpressive pedigree. I'd ask more questions about her showing. She may be starting to show, but the puppy you are looking at isn't a product of it. Did you ask her what health screening she does on her sires and dams? I'd specifically ask her how she screens for liver disease and luxating patellas. A reputable breeder should be aware of genetic conditions in her breed and be able to discuss them. |
