| This happened to me a few days ago, We were taking a walk and this guy who was jogging with his mut unleashed (don't know what kid of dog it was but it was BIG) It ran towards us from across the street and my neice freaked out. I grabbed Gus and stood in front of my neice who was in the stroller. The stupid owner of the dog was laughing. I was so mad. I called him a few choiced words and he just laughed again, got his dog and continued with his jog.

Does pepper spray work on dogs??? Had I called the police, she definitely would have gotten a ticket, but the kicker is that I had MY dog with ME to therefore I would have gotten a ticket also. The difference though is that my 2.5lb dog was leashed and on my lap and her 100lb dogs were roaming free.

What would you have gotten a ticket for? Not licensed? You weren't doing anything wrong!

| It is bad dog owners like that they cause us to loose the rights of our dogs allowed in the parks. Our town is passing a law forbidding ANY dogs in our local parks. It will be a sad situation in the future if this happens. What about the larger dogs? Where will they be able to go? I found this out from a friend of mine that has a larger dog that she runs with - on a lead. And the park has a new sign up the other day when she went for her run - the sign read - NO DOGS ALLOWED! Her dog loves to run with her. I felt so bad for them. T. |

I absolutely agree! Believe it or not, not everyone is a "dog person". (I know- it must be some sort of a genetic defect or something!!) One of the (many) reasons I wanted a yorkie was because I can't stand it when large dogs jump up on me. Not to mention that, considering yorkies are hypoallergenic (sp?), you could be allergic to dogs. What if they knocked you over?! Then to act like it's nothing when you tell her to get her dogs- amazing!! I can't believe someone would be so inconsiderate.

| This is why I carry pepper spray. It works and will not harm the dogs. S/W

| that would definately had been a danger if i had been there with buckeye. and the problem would not have been totally their dogs. part of it would have been buckeye . he would have agitated the bigger dogs into a fight. but the difference is buckeye would have been leashed.

| Unfortunately this is how I think most pet owners are. I never expect anyone to clean up after their dog and I never expect a dog to be on a least at a public place.

The other weekend on Canada Day I took Daisy to the park on her harness and there were at least 2 other dogs running around that would be jumping on people and running all over, there were a couple hundred people there and small children. I had to keep picking Daisy up and holding her as these dogs kept coming around. Finally one of the owners called her dog back and rolled her eyes at me for picking up my dog away from her's like I was the one with the problem. GRRRRRRRRR
