made my night!!! Matthew! I am so glad Stanford found his loving forever home. this has just made my evening. I am not surprised i missed your last thread about him, as i had a lot going on, but i am so excited that i seen this one and the last one tonight! Thanks for being a great person and daddy to those dear baby's. Let us know how he's doing and what the vet says when you get to take him in. |
More pics of Stanford 4 Attachment(s) Here is a pic of the old man that I took this morning. He has had a bath, a condition, and an ear cleaning. Notice that the couch is no longer mine...my pit mix (TJ) and Stannie have hijacked it. Stannie's "friend" Kenneth (b&w cat) can be seen keeping an eye on Stannie in one of the pics. Oddly enough, Kenneth seems fairly concerned about Stanford, and usually nestles close by somewhere, just to keep watch. They are getting along much better now that Kenneth knows that "the old man" is not to be messed with. |
:bravo: :happyboun I am so HAPPY For you!! That little guy is going to know what it really means to have a home!! WTG Matt!!!:happyboun :bravo: I cried my eyes out when i first read about that little guy and all you did for him.. But now it is a truely happy ending!! |
he is lookin quite cozy... |
I'm so happy to see he is settling in nicely to your loving home! |
I love it when a plan comes together!!! :) Congratulations! Stannie couldn't have a better forever home! Can hardly wait to hear updates and progress. Sounds like everything is going well. Stress can cause their hair to come out. We had a little rescue that we thought had "leather ear" ... not a single hair on her little ears and very little on her body. The vet said it was due to stress and it has taken nearly two years but she almost has all her hair back! Little Stannie will settle in and be his old happy self before you know it. :p |
of course I missed all this :( Matthew - Stanford is a great name! Very dignified sounding! :) Looking at the pics of him weeks ago when you first got him back, his skin looks sooo bad and he looks sooo skinny! My heart BROKE just looking at him! He is one blessed and lucky pup to have somehow made his way back to you as his forever home! You have the biggest heart and you are soo kind! Thank you for being so kind to that baby and giving him a better life. He needs you and in time you'll feel that from every pore of his being :) (((HUGS))) to you! |
Whew! I just went back and read all of the posts regarding Stanford. Yay! What a story and what a wonderful ending. I am glad this little guy is finally where he belongs. |
oh congrats to you!!! |
Wow I just finished reading your stories, in this thread and the ones before after I stumble in to this one. What a story, touching. I am so happy he has found you. The little guy just needs a place to cuddle and sleep and stay warm and safe. I do hope he will put on some weight soon..he does look a little too thin. |
Well, he has put on 1.1 lbs in the first three weeks I had him. He goes on Friday for a teeth cleaning, so I will ask them to weigh him again. I have found that he will no longer fit into the XXS coat that I bought him, I think he may be up to an XS now. Woo Hoo. Now asking to come to bed with us on a regular basis, and getting up in my lap for a snuggle and snooze daily. Also now asking on a regular basis to go out side with his bigger brother for potty time. GO STANFORD!!!! |

Stanford is my hero too... he is a tough little son of a gun. And has won me over completely now. As for me...I am just happy and honored that he came back to me, and the circle was completed. :D |
Keep taking/sharing photos and we can all watch the progress! |
