How exciting!! I remember your story, I am so glad Miles is going home now where he was meant to be!! :) |
I remember your story and am so Happy you are finally going to keep the little guy. I hope you all settle in quickly. |
YAY for Myles :) |
Great news!!!!! |
Name change After some careful thought, I have come to the conclusion that it is time for a clean slate for my new "pup". So out with the "M's" (Max, Myles) and the "L's" (Lucky), and in with the "S's". Goodbye Myles, Hello... STANFORD. Middle name: Mackenzie. Has a noble and nice ring to it. Announcing the arrival of Stanford Mackenzie Knapp (later today). What do you all think? And can I join the Boyz club here if I am not a "mommy"? :D |
You are awesome! and i'm glad you get to keep STANFORD, it definitely has a nice ring to it... and i hope you two are very happy together... :D |

Replace "daddy" everywhere you see "mommy" for LGC!! I think there are some other male owners in there -- LOL I think Stanford needs a special membership or title for the LGC - hmmm..... |
Oh Matthew, I'm so happy for you and for Stanford. I was upset when Myles was claimed the first time and the owner did not seem thrilled to get him back. I think he is so much better off with you. Your love for your animals really comes accross in your posts and I think that Stanford now has a wonderful home.:) :) :) |
Wow, what a great story. Congratulations! I'm sure the two of you were meant to be together! D- |
Medical update on Stanford (formerly Myles) 4 Attachment(s) My neighbor just delivered Stannie to me after his vet visit. Got lots of good info. Estimated Age: 10 years (!) Weight: 3 lbs (vet said he is very underweight) Skin and Coat: In terrible condition. Vet ruled out mange, but said he might have an allergy to something. Coat is ragged and patchy, skin is flaky and dry. Lots of hair loss since I last had him. No fleas or ticks. Healthy otherwise. Needs to get his teeth cleaned, but not right away. He is neutered. Frankly, I am shocked at how bad he looks. Just a matchstick with bald spots and no meat on his bones. So I have a senior on my hands. No wonder he mostly likes to lie on a pillow and snooze. No strenuous activity for him. My big dog has to get his teeth cleaned on Friday, so I will take Stanford in with me and get him checked out, get shots, and find out what is really going on with his coat and skin. May be just lack of good food and vitamins. Pic attached. Compare it to the ones on my original thread. Matthew |
Oh Matthew..he does look worse than when you found him the first time...I certainly hope he didn't go from 1 bad home to another:( I think he has def. found the best home..he\'ll probably just need a lot of TLC and plenty of attention so he knows he\'s somewhere he is going to be loved and cared properly for. Did your vet suggest any certain food to feed him? Sounds like he was not being fed enough or correctly...that could explain the weight and hair/skin problems...did the vet give you vitamins for him? Anxious to see how he progresses. Keep up the good work and keep us updated! |
Oh Matthew, I could just cry \'cause I am so happy that Stanford found his way home to his daddy. Some people need to be strung up by there protruding parts:mad: but praise the Lord he has you now. |
