Belly Bands?

Thank goodness we don't have that problem! He was neutered young, so I really think that helped. He is SUCH A GOOD BOY! I am thankful!

I do think the belly band is an interesting concept.

I have one intact male and I couldn't live without my belly bands! The other males are neutered and go outside

What is funny Moose never lifts his leg when he goes in our backyard (he does all his business outside! ) but when we go on our walks, he will lift his leg if he has to pee! I guess he is making sure if anyone is watching they know he is a "big boy".

Our two boys are intact and therefore wear a belly band 99% of the time...we love them!! I bought some that have a silky lining and fit great so it doesn't ruin their coat (they are show dogs)...they boys mark alot in the house and the belly bands have really helped with that. Anytime they are outside we take it off and they are free to mark all they want...LOL!! Belly bands are the saving grace at our house!!

Of course I am going to help you...I think we have the same show time on Sunday so my mom might have to help hold her while I show but I am defintely there if you need me. I am looking forward to it...we are leaving tomorrow night!!

I think that is right, I know we are in the same ring and at the same time...so that should be easy!! We are just taking Frankie so that will make it really easy for us, my dad is staying back with the other three!! We should all try and go out to eat dinner Saturday night...

I hope that Krissy recovers quickly, she is strong I bet she will be back on her feet in a couple of days....

Moose is our first "male" dog ever. (even as a child I only had females) So I am not real familiar with the belly bands. Actually I never heard of these until YT!

For me personaly, I use them because my males are used for breeding. When I have a female in heat.....Brodie will left his leg on EVERYTHING! LOL He has even walked up to me and lifted his leg on me!

So for me, it protects my house. They are fine wearing them, and only wear them when they are running the whole house.

To me, they are the best invention!

How long are you leaving the bands on him at one time? You should change the pads out regularly and wipe "that area" down often (I use baby wipes to do this) as if you leave it on him too long, and he marks in it, he can actually get very raw and it can sting the skin and become very uncomfortable for him.

I doubt most people do this, but I actually use regular pads (not the thin little panty liners) and I use the ones that have the plastic lining so that when they mark, it sinks down INTO the pad, instead of it just sitting on top of the pad and irritating the skin.

I do the same. I can't use the thin pads at all. I use nice and thick pads
