I'm curious...

Do you let the tiny babies sleep in the bed with you? How do you prevent them from falling off the bed?

Gino is 4 lbs....he does fine. He usually sleeps RIGHT next to me, my face, neck, etc. He loves to be swaddled in a blanket. He is pretty perceptive. He never falls off the bed. I have a Queen and he doesnt sleep on the edge, just the middle and Bianca is on the other side of him, unless he is sleeping right next to her

Dont worry Kyle, they are pretty good about not letting themselves fall off.

Mine don't sleep with me yet, i'm worried they will pee on my bed but some day they will. I wouldn't worry about them falling, they know to usethe stairs.

Although mine aren't under 4 anymore, they both once were.

Neither one of them ever thought about jumping off the bed when they were that size, heck Slade will still bark his fool head off so I will sit him on the ground even though the bed is only about 1.5 ft off the ground now

Usually with both of them, I would instintively wake up if I felt them move too much.

AprilLove has slept with me since I got her, (I started her out on the bed in a little crate next to me). She was under 2 lbs when she started sleeping with me and now she sleeps on my head. I will add, though, that I am a very light sleeper and know immediately if one of the furbabies moves. I usually end up with all three of the little ones velcroed to me when I wake up, one on my head, one next to my chin and the other one on my side

and I usually sleep like a stick person, LOL. I would consider what kind of sleeper you are (heavy sleeper, light, move around alot, etc) then go from there. I think using a little kennel/crate right next to you on the bed is a good idea, they are right next to you and you can touch them and comfort them and know they are safe from falling,

Bailey is 4 #s and she's been sleeping next to me since she was a puppy, she's 3 yrs. now. We sleep in a queen size bed also, Maggie 10 #s on one side of me and Bailey between us. My husband, before he died, built a wooden 4 step staircase so they can get in and out of the bed. The little ones love to snuggle. AS far as rolling over on them, I guess my maternal instinct takes care of that. No problems here!! Good Luck!

Lily sleeps next to me, I always worry about her falling off but she never has, I am a very lite sleeper, I fell it when she moves and I can tell if she wants down . It was not my plan to ever have her in bed with us but I am a sucker for her whimper.

I never let Lulu sleep on the bed when we slept. During the day if I was napping I would put her to nap with me but when it was time to really sleep I put her in the crate (when she was potty training) and then in her bed at my bedside (when she was fully trained). I was always afraid that either hubby or I would roll over her and at times my son climbs into the bed so with two heavy rollers I was afraid.

Zoey gets the same treatment. Don't want to chance her getting hurt. She doesn't seem to mind.

I also forgot to say, that when Laney was a pup, we live in a smallish room in an apt, so the bed was pushed in the corner and I slept on the outer edge, so the only side she had to fall off of was the bottom of the bed.

Yes - both of my babies sleep with us

They have never ever jumped off the bed...but sometimes Stedman (who is 4 lbs) jumps off in the middle of the night to chase the cat if he hears him getting into something

Gosh, now that I said that I will probably jinx myself and one of them will fall off.

I sure hope not lol!

And by the way Kyle...that avatar will be ready SOON I promise!

Me two (4 and 5 lbs.) sleep in the bed.. I was just curious what people did with the tinies.

I hate to say it- but when they were puppies they each fell off the bed once.

They were OK though.

Yes I let Riley sleep with me. Hes about 3lbs. I have a futon so its really low to the ground. He doesnt move around alot. When he sleeps with me, hes either on my pillow or curled up next to my stomach. Its funny because before I got him, I was a heavy sleeper, but now, he can barely move and I wake up. I haven't even rolled over on him. Thank god. Lol. He sleeps under the covers so I think thats why hes never rolled off.

Cookie weighs 3lbs 5 oz now and he's been sleeping with me for over 3 yrs already.He has to be under the covers and some part of his body has to be touching me,either his head,his back or his lil butt lol.

Angel is 4.5 lbs and he sleeps at the edge of the bed by our feet and he MUST sleep on top of the covers.

I've never had a poblem with them. When I wake up in the morning I just tap him and tell him " Cookie ,I gotta get up!" he jumps up and falls asleep on top of my pillow lol. This is our daily routine
