| Cotton & Silky is it possible? Max's hair has changed i can see the obvious silky shinny hair it is so pretty but then he also has cottony dull hair running through it and kind of under it....it really looks mixed is that possible? Or will one or the other fall out eventually?

| I don't know for sure I guess it could be possible to have both hair types. I really am not sure, maybe someone else who has more knowledge about this can help you. How old is your puppy it could be possible that one or the other will fall out as he gets older. I hope someone else will be able to help you better than me..... SORRY.......

| My youngest is just like this as well at the moment. I'm hoping it is her puppy coat growing out. The reason I think this is that I have a slightly older boy, he's 16 months now. When he was about 8 to 12 months, he went through the same thing, horrible little fluffy knots near the roots of his silky coat as it grew in. Even though I brushed him every day they just came back, especially on the side he used to sleep on. But now his coat has become beautifully silky & the brush just glides through with barely a knot to be seen, apart from an occassional one behind his ears or his elbows. So I'm hoping that my little one is just going through the same transition. |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | That is the puppy coat stage so you can't really predict what it will be fully when they are in their adult coat. Zoey has thin and silky on her head and her body is a bit cottony. Hopefully the silky wins out in the end but whatever she has is fine with me.

My Little Man! Donating Member | I was wondering about it too. Maxi is almost 1 year old now and he has a nice silky coat by his face but the back and sides are different and underneath is a shine coat. Just because there is a shiny coat underneath I am assuming that it will eventually change. His coat is dark on his back but underneath is lighter and shiny.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Zoey has the usual black on her body and her haid has some silver interspersed. Wonder what her final colors will be. Her dad is black and tan and so is her mom.

| Wouldn't it be great to just KNOW i know i love Max no matter what but sometimes i think it would just be nice to know what colors the little guy is going to be when he grows up his mommy and daddy were the blue/silver color with the real pretty tan/gold but who knows what he will turn out to look like heck who knows what his grandparents or great grandparents etc. looked like but i do have to admit i love the black/tan puppy colors i have seen full grown ones keep their puppy colors and they are so cute
