I was wondering about it too. Maxi is almost 1 year old now and he has a nice silky coat by his face but the back and sides are different and underneath is a shine coat. Just because there is a shiny coat underneath I am assuming that it will eventually change. His coat is dark on his back but underneath is lighter and shiny.
