Thanks everyone, I told Cindy to tell you guys about him trying to take Lexie, I wouldn't in a million years dreamed that it could happen to us. I am still in a daze so to speak but very thankful Lexie is home. Its funny the only thing I was thinking the whole time was he isn't going to get Lexie. Just please be very careful with your babies, people are really sick and not scared to try anything for them. I will never take them to a pet store again. I will start taking Max my GSD with me instead, let them take that one

I really do apppreciate all your thoughts and prayers, I am fine and Lexie is fine, but we are both so very thankful

That is SO scary

Thank God everyone is okay and thank God that lady started to scream. I cannot believe someone could do that, much less in broad daylight.

oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!! i would have kicked to kill!!!!!!!!!! i'm glad they are okay. I know Kim is shaken up!!!!!!!!

OMG What is wrong with people!!!

I hope someone can ID that man...he can at the very least be charged with assault. I'm so glad he didn't take your baby! How scary! I take Lacy with me so many places and am actually just about to leave with them (her and Rylie) to go buy some more food and go by JoAnne's. Ugh..it just sucks that there are such aweful people in this world

How awful! I am so sorry you were put in that situation! What IS IT with people these days! Im soo glad you and Lexie are ok!

I am glad everyone is ok. I too would like to know which Petsmart. I go to the one at Turkey Creek here in Knoxville. It is always crowded in the parking lot and can see something like that happening. And Jim wonders why I always have someone with us when I take Gypsy places.

Oh, Kim....I am thanking God that no harm came to you or Lexi!!! He could have done some awful harm to you.

You know, I've been thinking about this a lot, lately - the possibility, that is. We could just be walking down the street, minding our own business, and someone could come by with a knife, cut the leash, and Abigail would be gone!

I know there are sick people out there; I just get tired of being afraid of them. Don't ya'll?? I mean, we buy these adorable harness dresses to make them even cuter, and where are we going to let them wear them

? Hubby has already told me not to walk Abigail alone. If he sees this, she'll never get out!

It's a sad world when we can't even take our pets out with us without fearing for their safety...

That had to be so frightening for you!!!...Thank goodness you had your wits about you to fight back!

This is why I don't EVER take my yorkies with me any more......

Also please be aware of your surroundings when driving home from these places with your yorkie, you could be followed home so as to see where you live.....these types will go to any lengths to get your babies.....

I am so glad you are both ok!!! I do not take my girls out hardly ever anymore for fear of running into crazies. I was going to take 2 of my girls to Petsmart tomorrow for nail trims and asked my dtr to go with as I prefer one on one when I have them out, Now I think I will call my old groomer and have her do them.

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
