Glad you're alright I don't know what I would have done!!! I hope I never have to find out. I live in TN also, but I guess this type of thing happens everywhere. Scary!!!! Swiping our babies right out of our arms.Thank God you and Lexie are alright, Kim! |
That guy didn't know what he was in for trying to take a Yorkie lover's dog!! You go Kim! You did the right thing. I know if anyone tried to take mine, they would have to pry them out of my cold dead hands. It makes you think twice about taking them anywhere. They are so cute and attract attention, but getting to be a popular "accessory" with young girls. I just wonder what in the world he wanted with a little girly pup?? Some way to impress your girlfriend...steal a dog! |
Am glad you're okay Kim..so sorry this happened..I hardly ever take my dogs anywhere, even petsmart, because of all the wierdos out here these days.. |
I hate that other people in this crazy world cause any of us to change our personal habits & the things that bring us joy. I hope they catch this bastard! So glad you are both safe. You are a brave, smart woman!! |
I'm just now seeing this and I wish I was more shocked but unfortunately I'm not. Some people make me so sick. Thank goodness everyone is ok. How someone could try and take another person's precious furbaby is beyond me. Awhile back I was in petco and felt like these two punks were following me everywhere. My fiancee was at the bookstore right next door and I called his cell and told him to come over right away. After the kids saw him they left the store. I have no idea if they were going to try anything but I never take the babies anywhere alone now. Its so sad it has to be that way. I used to love taking turns and having one of my babies go along with me to shop but now if I'm alone I'm too scared. :( I'm glad this situation wasn't worse. A bump on the head isn't exactly good but atleast that man didn't get Lexie. Hugs to both of you and I hope they catch that person. |
this is so scary, I am so glad you and your little baby got away from that thug. What is the matter with people!! I wish you the best!!! |
 OMG KIM!! THANK GOD you both are ok! How scary that must have been for you...I hope and pray that they can ID that dumb ass and you can press charges! |
That is soo scary, and mind you i dont get scared easy, i am sorry this happend to you Kim, and happy you and your Lexie are ok. I take my Babies everywhere, one has to be soo careful these days, that does it , i am going to order some pepperspray, least have a little protection.... hope they catch this guy ! Hugs |
I just found this thread, my god, I am soo glad all turned out alright, and that a great person happened by to help out what an angel. What a scary event that had to be. Thanks for letting us all know of this.. gee yters are great people. pooh's mum |
HOW AWFUL..........YOU CANT BE TOO CAREFUL WITH YOUR BABIES.:aimeeyork |
I just wanted to Thank you all again for the thoughts and concern over Lexie and myself..we are fine and just happy to be home away from the nuts.. I am still in disbelief that it happen to us, but it just shows me that you have to be very very careful with these precious babies. I went yesterday to get the meat rolls for my GSD, and decided to take Lexie cause she has been in one of her moments lately, I think she may be trying to go into heat, she always acts funny a couple of weeks before she actually does go into it, anyway if it hadn't been for the fact I had a monkeydaze overhauls jumper on her I wouldn't been able to keep hold of her during this, so those that think we are nuts for dressing our dogs, call me nuts all you want to cause I for one know thats what saved her. I wraped my fingers around the bib on the front which helped me to hold on to her. The guy must of been watching us or maybe just seen me going to my jeep and decided easy prey...I think now he probably wishes he hadn't picked me. I was at the jeep putting my bags and purse in the back, and still had Lex in my arms and just shut the door and was going to open the front door to put her in her car seat, my hand was on the handle when someone grab my shoulder and said "give me your dog" I jerked back thinking if I keep Lex between me and the jeep he couldn't get her, and for some reason in my head I get thinking if he gets her I will never see her again, so I kick him from behind, don't know what I hit, but I kick as hard as I could then he push me into the jeep and I hit the car and lost my balance and a lady saw what was happening and started screaming and the guy ran. I never really saw what he looked like, but we did call the police and hopefully they will catch him. the girl said she saw him in the store and the police was going to get her to look at video to id him. Long story short, we are doing fine, but hang on to your babies. just watch what is going on around you, yesterday I said I would never take my yorkies with me again, but today I will, I will not let one crazy person put me in fear, I will watch more closely what is going on around me, and take max my GSD with me:p Max adores Lex and would hurt anyone trying to mess with her or me, but even if I don't take him, I will be watching everyone very closely. just something that I will do from now on, put a leash and harness on her at all times out, I always hold her, but that way I will have something to hold on to her tightly, the overhauls really did save her.:) |
Thank GOD the both of you are OK.....that was so frightening. I hope they get that creep and prosecute. Tina |
Yes I sure hope they find that skumBAG and arrest him!! It really puts in to check for me how closely you have to watch them babies. I am glad you guys are okay and not going to let this turd effect you. :) |
Thanks for the good advise...sorry you had to eperience this but VERY glad you both are fine. I am wondering if mace is a good thing to carry in case like this or similar....I don't even know if it is legal but I am going to look into it. I have thought about it before but never gave it too much thought.....now I am going to check it out. I also hear there is a new lady's stun gun but you have to be VEEERRRRYYY careful not to do any permanent harm to the individual or you can get sued or something. But we ladies need to be safe.... Tina |
OMG!! That is sooooo scary!!! Poor Kim and poor Lexie having to deal with that MAD MAN!!! I hope they catch this jerk! Kim, I am so sorry that you and your sweet baby girl had to go through this! I do want to thank you so much for sharing it though as it is a BIG reminder, and one that we all needed to hear! Big hugs to you guys and again, I am so sorry that you had to go through this! :( |

Kim, omg! How scarey! I am so glad you and Lexie are doing ok after that whole thing, but YIKES!!! Some people are freaks. I cannot stress enough that although Ive personally never run into a nutcase I always ALWAYS put on harnesses and leashes when I take my boys out of the house. Like your overalls on lexie, its something to hang onto should anyone actually try to take them from me! I think Im going to start a thread to stress how important it is to have your babies 'tethered' to you when you take them out! Im sooooo glad you are ok though and Lexie is safe and sound with you! There are some serious freakin nuts out there in the world!!!! |
omg..that is scary! i am glad kim and lexie are okay..what is going on with these people in the world that we live in?? I carry my mace spray bottle in my keychain all the time..you can't trust people anymore..sad... |
This kind of thing is happening other places as well.... Overly intrested in you dogs in the car. .. If you can't take your dog in with you leave it at home... I've even heard of them breaking car window to get the dog...    Good for you kim... I hope the catch the creep....Quick thinking too... |

I will be copy this and send it to a couple friends.. if you do not mind..I really need a couple to see this with their own eyes.. I also want to add, I have a friend that sells dog hats and sun glasses at the craft shows and flea markets, of course she always has one of her dogs with her to show off the hats.. she has a tiny chain that hooks on to the harness and she has a tiny tiny lock on it.. the yorkie is also attached to her carry bag that she sleep and travels in. This is hooked to a chair the bag sits on.. My hubby thinks I am nuts when I talk about doing that in their stroller's when we are in certain places... so I will also be showing him this post... pooh' mum |
From Peanut (Kim) "Thought I was paranoid"???? I will not take Tricksie to Pet Stores or other places without someone else going along. |
Glad to hear you both are doing OK. I'm also glad to hear you will continue to take your babies out with you. :) |
OMG.. thank goodness she fought back. How scary! I was in a petsmart yesterday and seen this woman cradling her shirt, which obviously had a tiny puppy underneath it. I thought it was silly that she had that baby under her shirt but now I wonder if she was doing it because of incidents like this one. |
I am thankful that you both are OK this could have been tragic. Thank goodness you dress Lexi!!!!! |
Thank God they are both o.k. I don't know what is happeing to the people in the world! It's sad to think you have to watch your surroundings at all times! |
OMG this is sooooo awful! We better be careful this is just insane. |
OH MY GOODNESS!!! That is horrible...people are sooooooooooooooooo STUPID!!! (aurgh) I am glad that you and Lexie are safe!! If the guy was in the store earlier...hopefully he will be on their security tapes!!! |
OMG, that much have been SO scary! Glad you and Lexie are doing ok! |

What a fright for you and for Lexie, Kim. Thank God you are both ok. What is wrong with the world? Pretty soon, we won't be able to leave our homes and feel safe at all. |
