Kim I am SO glad you are okay! You poor thing, you must have been SO scared, but GOOD FOR YOU for fighting back! You held on to Lexie the whole time? How did you manage that?

I hope this ass gets caught! What is with people trying to steal yorkies lately!???

Of course our Kim wanted me to post this to remind everyone TO BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR BABIES OUT! She was in a "good" part of town, it was the middle of the day, there were lots of people around, and she came way to close to losing her dear Lexie!
Knoxville, Tennessee?? Ohmygosh, I live less than 20 miles from there. I'm so glad Kim and Lexie are both OK.

OMGoodness.....good for you Kim for fighting back!!! Way to go girl! I hope he ended up worse than you. I am so happy this turned out ok. You are in my thoughts and prayers. :animal-pa

Wow, thats awful! I hope Kim and Lexie are ok now. They must have both been terrified.

Oh my! I am so glad nothing worse happened to Kim and that Lexie didn't get taken! Thank goodness for the lady who screamed! Sure hope he gets caught!

I am thinking maybe all Petsmarts should hire security for in the store and the parking lot! This is getting ridiculous!!

:eek: OMGosh, Kim is SO Lucky he didn't pull a weapon or something..That is TOOOO scary..thats why I don't like taking Gus to the store...There Are too many weirdos out there..GEEEZZZZ Hope Kim knows we are all thinking of her and wishing for a quick recovery from this ordeal!!! Oh my gosh!! That is so scary! These yorkie kidnappings and thefts are getting so scary and out of control :(.

This has made me absolutely sick to my stomach. I pictured myself in Kim's place and it just made me sick. Kim and Lexie, I'm so glad you're both okay..this has really shaken me up to think this would happen.

I'm so glad you and Lexie are ok. I can't believe there are so many crazy people out there!! It's a shame that they are ruining something that should be fun - taking our baby to Petsmart (or wherever!!). Hope you feel better soon and Matty Lu and Kalina send hugs to Lexie.

Thanks everyone, I told Cindy to tell you guys about him trying to take Lexie, I wouldn't in a million years dreamed that it could happen to us. I am still in a daze so to speak but very thankful Lexie is home. Its funny the only thing I was thinking the whole time was he isn't going to get Lexie. Just please be very careful with your babies, people are really sick and not scared to try anything for them. I will never take them to a pet store again. I will start taking Max my GSD with me instead, let them take that one:) I really do apppreciate all your thoughts and prayers, I am fine and Lexie is fine, but we are both so very thankful:)

OMG What is wrong with people!!! :mad: I hope someone can ID that man...he can at the very least be charged with assault. I'm so glad he didn't take your baby! How scary! I take Lacy with me so many places and am actually just about to leave with them (her and Rylie) to go buy some more food and go by JoAnne's. Ugh..it just sucks that there are such aweful people in this world :thumbdown

I am glad everyone is ok. I too would like to know which Petsmart. I go to the one at Turkey Creek here in Knoxville. It is always crowded in the parking lot and can see something like that happening. And Jim wonders why I always have someone with us when I take Gypsy places.

You know, I've been thinking about this a lot, lately - the possibility, that is. We could just be walking down the street, minding our own business, and someone could come by with a knife, cut the leash, and Abigail would be gone! :cry8: I know there are sick people out there; I just get tired of being afraid of them. Don't ya'll?? I mean, we buy these adorable harness dresses to make them even cuter, and where are we going to let them wear them :mad:? Hubby has already told me not to walk Abigail alone. If he sees this, she'll never get out!

How terrifying!!! :( It's a sad world when we can't even take our pets out with us without fearing for their safety... :(

That had to be so frightening for you!!!...Thank goodness you had your wits about you to fight back!

This is why I don't EVER take my yorkies with me any more......

Also please be aware of your surroundings when driving home from these places with your yorkie, you could be followed home so as to see where you live.....these types will go to any lengths to get your babies.....

I am so glad you are both ok!!! I do not take my girls out hardly ever anymore for fear of running into crazies. I was going to take 2 of my girls to Petsmart tomorrow for nail trims and asked my dtr to go with as I prefer one on one when I have them out, Now I think I will call my old groomer and have her do them.
