we never really had any problems, i always have chip in my jacket or in my hat, random people come over and start petting him, but they always ask, i had peoples offer to buy him off me but thats always a no! its too cold for him at the moment, so he is always close to either me or ali i had him in a bag the other day and no one really noticed him too much, i wouldnt let any one hold him unless i had a collar and lead on him though and just snatching ur dog especially out of ur car is just wrong but over here people have always asked and i dont mind at all theres no way any1 could out run either of us especially with chip licking them and wriggling to get to their face for a kiss lol

I had a man try to pick Buddy up yesterday!!!!!!! I had to go out of town for a few days and I took Buddy with me. Of course, we had to stop to potty a couple of times while on the road. I always try to pick very safe places to stop to potty (I was traveling alone). At this particular stop ....I had Buddy on a leash and this man spotted us and came walking over. He was talking to Buddy...clapping his hands and of course Buddy went running to him. (while still on the leash) Fortunately, Buddy darted away just as the man reached for him!!!!! I honestly think the little man was very sweet and meant no harm but it did make me very uncomfortable!!!! Unfortunately, I think that most people out in public do not even stop to think to ask if it is ok to pet our furbabies and for those that reach to hold them....they obviously do not understand that this is just something that you should not do!!!!

You're calling me ignorant. You might have found a more diplomatic way of stating your opinion. We are talking about the bodacious types who are ready to whip the dog out of your arms to "hold" it. I will continue on with my ignorant ways, creating a wave of panic and fear among people, telling them my dog has ring worm so they don't overwhelm her. Maybe it's you they're afraid of.

my scrappy doo will bite some one if they go to touch him when I"m holding him ,i dont know why he does that ,my hubby says hes trying to protect you,I dont allow people to try and pet my fur babys threw the car window Either.they could grab and run with them.
