| WOW - this same woman would probably have a coronary if someone she had never met walked up and asked if they could hold her child so why would she think it would be ok to reach into the car of a stranger and try to pick up their dog??? Don't worry about offending her, she should NEVER have reached into your car, even to pet Carlos, without permission, you had every right to say no & snatch him back!

| I hate when this happens, I dislike it more when we are in the pet store and people tell their children to and hold my lily I get very nervous and fell so awkward saying no. I think this problem comes with the territory.

| When we got Chewy my daughter would be holding him (she was about 17 at the time) And a few times people just grabbed Chewy right out of her arms!!! I was really mad.... So we practiced at home that when any one came really close she was to bak up and say we don't allow any one to hold or dog. He likes to jump and squirm.I had a woman in a wheel chair want to hold him once. i told her I don't allow it because he was so wiggly. She was so upset with me... she told me she had yorkies and would never drop one. But as she was talking chewy got squimmy and she then said, I see what you mean, I would be afraid to hold him if he wiggled like that for me!!!

| I AM SORRY THIS HAPPENED TO YOU, SOME PEOPLE ARE TRULY ENAMORED EVEN IF THEY HAVE ONE AT HOME.I TRY TO THINK OF THIS AND BE PATIENT.BUT TO REACH TO GRAB YOUR BABY BEFORE OR WHILE ASKING IS TO MUCH. I UNDERSTAND.MY MAX IS TINY AND I TAKE HIM WITH ME QUITE FREQUENTLY - ONE TIME IN THE MAILL ONLY A BIT OF HIS HEAD WAS OUT OF MY JACKET A LADY SAW HIM SHE APPROACHED ME AND BEFORE I COULD REACT REACHED INSIDE MY COAT TO PET HIM AND GRABBED A BREAST .I WAS SO OUT DONE AND ANGRY.I WISHED AT THAT MOMENT THAT HE WAS AGGRESSIVE AND BIT HER FINGER THAT WILL TEACH HER.

| I keep a leash on my boys when Im out of the house, if someone ever tried to walk away with them well theyd have to drag me to bc my dogs are always teethered to me or whoever Im with (friend, family, etc... someone I trust). Not taking any chances here! But yes, you will ALWAYS have to deal with people wanting to pet or pick up your pup! Thats what happens with these babies, they are just so cute they are irresitatable to everyone Lucky you!

| This has happened to me twice, the first time was at the beach and a lady asked if she could take pixie to show her friend who was standing a few yards away with a Staffordshire bull terrier on a leash (nothing against Staffies btw because we have a gorgeous one ourselves!) she had her arms out ready to just have her off me! I said no of course and she looked rather put out! The second time i was caught off guard, an older lady approached me 'ooohhhhing and ahhhhhing' (typical reaction from strangers when owning small cute yorkie lol) and she stopped to talk to me, asking q's about Pixie, she bent down to pet her and before i could do anything she had her hand under her little body and had lifted her up! well,...I was having kittens of course and became really nervous, she must have sensed this and said, 'Oh, I'm used to small dogs'! Now, when anyone looking remotely interested in her is approaching, I pick her up before they do!

| Telling people your Yorkie bites is a good way to put them off. I didn't even like it when they petted her in my arms. I always told people she had ringworm. They backed up quickly -- LOL! |

| That's a great way of creating a fear of dogs in people. I'm sorry but that is just ignorant and wrong. You wouldn't believe the number of people I have encountered (living in the city) that are afraid of dogs, even small ones.

| I made Cozy a little coat that says "May pet me but don't hold me" and is has a growling dog. The sweater is cute and people don't try and pick her up when she wears it.
