ooohhh! im just reading this now since i was on vacation! im so excited for you! i know Parker and my Dexter are about a week or two apart in age and me and you both started thinking about sisters for them at the same time!! im soooo jealous! because of selling my business and a vacation, i havent looked tooo seriously yet, but i am really looking forward to hear how everything goes when she comes home!!!!! congrats and cant wait to see pictures and hear stories of both of your babies

im planning on finding a sister for dex this spring or summer.

off topic, also wondering if little parker had a growth spurt at all...i know he and dexter were around the same size until dex went through a huge growth spurt! hes about 4 pounds now.

(just re read this and i sound a little stalker-like.

parker is just so sweet and reminds me the most of dexter from all the pups on YT!

thanks guys but since all of this happened we are not getting our girl anymore (I explained in the last post). We are going to at least wait a month our so, after everything we went though insurance isn't paying for much.

naw, you don't sound stalker-like at all silly, I remember lil Dex! For a growth spur I WISH...as I didn't antisipate Parker being so tiny he went in for a check up yesterday and weighted in at 2.2lbs!

So in a sense he did grow from the steady 1.8lbs from before but not as much as I had wished. How is that cutiepie Dexter...Have you posted any recent pictures, I am curious as to how he looks now

Thank you so much!! Its a bummer but before David actually got into the hospital I had one of those gut feelings that I shouldn't get her(and called it off) and my gut was right...our time will come I believe in that!

They adjust very well to name changes..My mom got an 11 mo. old dog years ago, she changed her name, and the dog adjusted very well(well, still does..), she's going on 14 now..

oh no! i just read through the whole post about David...im soooo sorry that you guys are going through this! such a sudden, awful thing at such a young age. i can feel your guys pain in a sence as i was diagnosed with cancer at 25 (all clear now at 27) and i know how hard it was on both me and my fiance when we were going through all the hospital visits. i wish you both (and parker of course!) all the best and pray for a speedy and full recovery. and when things settle down, you will find the perfect little girl to add to the family! manbe we will end up getting sisters for our boys at the same time now

at least little parker has grown a bit...better than nothing! dex is 4 pounds now and when i came back from vacation, his ears were standing straight up! (they used to flop slightly) so im still getting used to his new look :P i will post pics soon and hope to see many more of parker once things settle down in your life.
