I too have a 3.4oz yorkie that recently came to me on December 1,2007. Gina is a bundle of energy and even the gals at the vet office fell in love with her. She is a silky haired terrier, black and gold. She gives bunches of kisses and bounds with energy. She even keeps up running with her older sister boobah. She was born May 19, 2007. I think she will gain about 1lb more and that will be it. I love this puppy and realize all the responsibilities that go with it. I saw this tiny yorkie at the park and she is about 2lbs 6 oz. Her owner named her Paris. I just loved small dogs ever since I was little. Even if gina gets bigger, I will love her forever!

My little princess chanel weighs 3 pounds 4 ounces.The first time I saw her I was amazed .I never seen a yorkie pup that was this tiny.I was inexperienced and took the plunge.Chanel only weighed 3/4 pounds at 12 weeks.The vet didn't think she would weigh more than 2 pounds as an adult. She was so tiny and fragile.I think everything ended up ok because im a stay at home mom.i got to school at night so my husband and kids were home while i was at school.Someone was always by her side.Anyway ,Thank god she gained weight rapidly and is now a good size.I dont consider her tiny.Maybe its because Im used to her size. She is huge compared to what she was.Her body structure is sturdy and not fragile anymore.She runs around the house like a maniac.Believe me shes not letting anyone step on her.Shes too fast.She is almost 8 months now.She hasnt had any health problems except that occasional throwing up.She does this because she tries to eat everything she finds.I pray everyday that she doesnt have any health problems in the future.We love chanel and I would do it all over again if I had to.Our lives would not be the same without her.

I have a 2.5lb male. I really wanted a smaller yorkie to take with me when traveling. Then after much research and discussions with breeders, I decided 5lbs was still really small and would rather enjoy my puppy than spend my days in the vet's office. Well, guess what? I ended up with a smaller one unbeknownst to me. At 6 months he was slightly over 2 lbs and his other 4 litter mates were all 3.5 lbs. You just never know (and no he was not the runt of the litter - he actually weighed 1oz more than the tiniest at birth).

He's had a hypoglycemia incident, double teeth, and jumps like a monkey on & off everything (how do you get them to stop that?....we've tried everything....he is so quick). We have a ramp over the stairs, we made special small steps up to the bed, etc. He is the most awesome loving puppy ever. He runs longer and faster than me (take him for walks and he can run almost a whole mile)! Have had numerous scares and stresses worrying about his small size and health but so far all the worry for naught. I love him, love him, love him!
