. That is really, REALLY young to be away from her mother. Usually 12 weeks is the minimum - and for "tinies" it's often 16 weeks.Okay...well, at her age/weight - it creates quite a bit of vulnerability - but it sounds like you're trying to be on top of it. I would highly, highly recommend you definitely try to feed her every 4 hours bc she'll need it for a while. As for canned/kibble - the kibble "cleaning the teeth" is kinda a myth - it's sort of like us humans expecting crunchy cereal to clean our teeth. No matter which one you feed, you'd have to do something else for teeth - i.e. safe dental chews, bully stix, Petzlife Gel, safe raw meaty bones etcetera. You could try reallllly mixing that kibble into the canned, but you probably already are doing that. As for you daughter taking her back after a year...well...I'm just not buyin' it, you already sound in love!

I know she is so young and tiny and needed her mommy but her mommy got sold a while ago before the puppy Yep your right i have really tried mixing it in there good and the little buggers lick it off or they will put it in there mouth and get all teh soft food off and then drop back out the hard stuff they are really smart stubborn little things. Well looks like i might just have to stick with the canned food then. Thanks for the heads up on the teeth i really never knew if it was true or not but now that i know i am going out and getting all the babies some kind of dental chews or bully stix or something i'll go back to that all natural pet store i am sure they will have one of them you listed. And yes you are right i am so much in love with that little girl already! Just don't know what is going to happen when she comes to get her and i won't let her go See she was a christmas present from her boyfriend guess i could always tell her i will buy her a puppy that she can raise herself that is if she lets me keep Bella. | |
