right now i only have one dog but omg i've been trying to "steal" every small dog that has come into work lately. Today we had a 4lb maltese come in and he was the cutest maltese i have ever seen. then there was the brown cock-a-poo last week, he was also really small. And a co-worker is fostering a tiny tiny shih tzu puppy that was abandoned at the hospital. this puppy is so small because she was sick shortly after being born. i want another small dog for morgan to play with and i want one with the same temperament. I think a biewer would be perfect. know any in the north east area?

| ![]() I am far from an expert...I raised one to 12 months..and now I have her daughter who is 14 weeks...Rini and I have both found the Biewers to be more aggressive,(not biters or mean) barkers and generally more active....but you have to remember I have developed a line of very even tempered Yorkies, who are not prone to barking or some of mine can be laid back to the point of ignoring everything...we had people shooting off fireworks on New Years Eve and Kate never bothered to get off the couch to check it out..Becca was about the same...but the little Biewer wanted out to get them... |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | ![]() A biewer is like a parti (tri colored) yorkie except not. LOL check out scrapindee's website. She breeds biewers and she posted earlier in this thread.

| ![]() Livi is my parti girl and she has the typical Yorkie spunk. She has the most amazing temperment...honestly,the best of any dog that I have ever owned or have been around!!! She is fun and feisty, but yet the biggest love EVER!!!! She would spend the whole day laying in our lap or running and playing if that's what we wanted her to. Her and I were just playing earlier this evening....she was running behind furniture (she thinks she is so clever in her hiding spots.) ![]() Tammy |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | ![]() hmmm, wonder if the white coloring makes them calmer LOL that can't be said for other white breeds tho or white anomalies in different breeds.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | ![]() it most likely doesn't. However white color in other breeds and species (that are not suppose to be white) do coincide with health issues. As far as i know that is not true with the yorkie or biewer thankfully

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() No, the white on the Biewers does not apply or reflect any health issues. The standard for the Biewer is 4-7#. Just like a 5'3" female whose weight should be 90-125#--some fit the range--some are bigger--some are smaller. Have not heard before where Biewer/s were/are more aggressive. Maybe your yorkies are reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly laid back. My Biewers are well-socialized, gentle, friendly and yet alert if there is someone strange on the street. My webmaster just updated my website--now that the holidays are over...enjoy. |

| ![]() I am going to ask Rini..she has raised many of both.... I hope this new Biewer is more laid back then her mother...I can in no way say Bella was hyper, but she used to run through the house, on and off the furniture, chair to chair, never learned to walk..LOL and bounced at the glass door to go out...if I ignored her she barked and barked. So I would let her out and she barked at the neighbors. My standard Yorkies are just so different...totally uninterested in barking at people. They are curious, active, but when they want out, they sit by the door, they do not jump and bounce against it. I am a bit more excited about having Victoria today after reading she has the potential to be laid back...she is very smart and I only have to show her something once...the others are smart, but only obey if it suits their mood. |

| ![]() Pat, Would the Rini that you're speaking of be Rini Werner in MD? If so, I purchased my parti carrier boy, pictured in my avatar, from her. My Smiley is by her AKC parti stud Remi. Just wondering if your Rini was the same.
