Parti's and Biewers I'm not really sure what section to post my question in so i put it here. I am thinking about getting another dog and i've always loved the biewers because of their colors. so here's my question: Do parti's have a temperament like a yorkie or like a biewer? i have noticed that biewers and yorkies are slightly different because morgan's breeder had both. Morgan's is a splitter in fact and i believe she is more like a biewer personality wise and i LOVE it. I think the personality difference is part of what makes them a different breed even tho they did originally come from two standard yorkies. |
I don't see any difference in temprament between my traditionals and my partis. they are all energetic, affectionate, strong headed, and not yappy. |

i'm curious about the temperament because morgan is calmer and more laid back from most yorkies that i've met. She is also affectionate and not yappy. As far as energetic, well she is when we play but then goes right back down to zero and will lay down and go to sleep. She's not always crawling up my leg for attention. She can entertain herself. I love that. I was wondering if other biewers were the same or if its just her any biewer owners have any input? |
Nappy is more laid back than AprilLove. A little bit :) The best way I can describe the difference between my two, is the Biewer is just like a Yorkie but without the Yorkie "tude" LOL. It could also be because he is a boy, and she's a girl. Maybe the members with female and male Biewers and Yorkies will chime in. |

i know we have lots more biewer owners on here so i hope they speak up. i would love to hear their comparisons. |
There is IMHO a definite difference between the Biewers and Yorkies in temperment and yappiness. The Biewers are less crazy and more cuddlesome. The yorkies are more independent. I have both girls and boys so I don't think it is a sex/gender issue. |

No, he came from Germany with his sibling and Dam to a breeder near me. |
Are biewers bigger than yorkies? I mean i know our yorkies all come in different sizes, but it seems most of the pictures that i see of biewers they look bigger? just curious:p |

I can see a difference in the attitude too...my Biewer girls are laid back and quiet...even though they both are very capable of barking they just don't very often. Now, playtime is a different story...they're rough and tumble tomboys and you better stay out of their way when they get going! COyorkieLover...in my opinion yes, the Biewers are a little bigger than the Yorkies. They seem to be a little longer in the back than a Yorkie but if you look at the picture of the parents of the first Biewer they were both built that way so that was their foundation. Some Biewers are small and fine boned and some are bigger...just like the Yorkies...they are both pretty much all over the scale. Actually, I prefer the heavier bone structure of my girls to the fine bones of my boys...but, don't tell my boys! |
